Doesnt seem a bad price but as an IT Consultant,

I wouldnt buy any piece of PC Hardware from a non-computer shop/website.

Of course - at PC world you always get expert advice and knowledge on your purchase and their returns policy is so much better than the three year Aldi / Medion warranty :whistling:

[Although of course a warranty isn't such a concern with a had drive - as failure generally means a whole bunch of hassle]

Well guys i dont know why we bother 3 replys and 1 was mine and its voted -35, to many people shy to leave reply or just basically cant type.

Thing is, you can get a well known branded one for cheaper at Play.com - like this Maxtor with 5 year warranty for £79.99.

There's also a Seagate for £77 at microdirect delivered here. Again, with 5 yr warranty.

Don't let it get to you mate. A lot of people vote cold just 'cause they feel like it on here and without reason.

It is frustrating when they get voted cold without comment - which happens 90% of the time.

It's also best to do a quick google before you post.

Hot from me. I've got a Medion from Aldi a few years ago, and these fit on to the top bay with power and SATA connection. So the £10 extra is worth it.

Aldi offers are lame these days

Well, as a fellow IT professional, I for one would certainly consider the Medion equipment. Medion are massive in Europe, and well thought of, if you can see past the door of Aldi, Woollies or wherever, then you might be surprised. As an IT pro - surely you are therefore equipped to forego all the "expertise" offered at a "computer shop / web site" and make a decision on spec and price?!

I've had a highly spec'd Medion for 3 years, and it's great, and I got far more for the money than if i'd gone elsewhere.

That said, this particular deal is not so cheap. Although these are geared towards the Medion PC owners with HD2go eSata data bays in the top of the PC, so a premium will probably be worth it for them.

As a PS.. if anyone has a Medion and is in need of support or advice, I've found this independent web site / forum really useful. http://www.medionsupport.com/
