The processor is the 2.5Ghz Intel Q8300: http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLB5W

And a review: http://www.warp2search.net/contentteller/news_story/intel_q8300_review.html

And the conclusion from the review:

The Bottom Line

The Q8300 is easy on your hydro bill, and gives pretty darn good performance for the buck. Its overclocking is limited by the 1333MHz FSB, but you are extremely likely to be able to run at 3.375GHz (450x7.5) on any decent motherboard, and that is 175MHz faster than the stock speed of the extremely expensive QX9770.

Yea I saw this the other day. Thou Aldi had a better offer, with respect to processor, and hard drive, and it was also cheaper!

As for overclocking this, You might be able to, I really aint sure to be honest. As Medion motherboards, arent usually full atx size, speaking from expereince. Also, correct me if I;m wrong, I doubt this would be able to be done within BIOS, and you would haft to manually config.

Are you sure the model isn't the e7001d? It's a new model that only just came out on 20th Dec. Some Tesco's stores have them, £349 - Q8300. Hardly any info on the web about it though, I called Medio CS and they said they knew about the model but had no pictures of it on their own system!

True but you can't get the Aldi one, sold out nation wide yesterday morning!

This is another option -

Regardless of the model of the product., which was differant. At the end of day, what was under the hood, it had same engine, less hd, same ram. and usual crap. At a more expeisnive price.
I've also looked at the other link as well. Whcih is probably a better option.

This is Vista and would cost more to upgrade to Windows 7 though.

Hi, can't understand why this is so much cooler than the tesco compaq. This has more ram, similar processor, hdmi, same os and alot more room for the future as in hard drives etc. I've now got both the pc's at home and don't know which to keep!?
