That's a 701 not a 901, sheesh it's blatantly obvious, hot regardless.

It's a rebranded MSi Wind (£309+) and they are pretty reliable from all I can find out, well here's hoping anyway!
#12
Plus I get 10% staff discount :p
#13
This presumably still has the poor 3 cell bettery?
#14
woth noting that theres no bluetooth compared with the advent
#15
Excellent Price, much better deal than the advent 4211 with double the hard drive space. I wouldnt worry about the lack of bluetooth, you can get those nano USB dongles now very very cheap and they barely stick out ot the USB port.
#16
According to Wiki it lacks Bluetooth but gains 802.11n and the camera is sub-par.

im looking for a netbook anybody got any recommendations, i would like good battery life and i've noticed some of the screens have a thicker edge then others which i don't like, is it worth waiting nearer to Christmas for a deal? I did see this one in Morrisons last weeks does look nice.

So should i get this or the Atom (upgrade to 1.5RAM and stick in SD Card 8/16gb and install windows (am fine to do all that)) but which is better then considering i am after portability and price not really power (performance power i mean)?
#21
Looks hot for the price!

Although souljacker claims to have taken his somewhere, dontdothatagain has gone without his.
#24
I might brought one.. to.. my home, after buying it!

I'm really tempted by this, hopefully the offer is on for a while!
#25
I know lets all pay more for less and think it's better :)
#26
Im always confused about the need for a 160gb hard drive in one of these things. Is it really neccesary I would rather have a SSD

It's not like you could buy a a bluetooth dongle for a few pounds is it? strange comment to make

With the Samsung NC10 now on the market at just under £300 (and that does have a respectable battery life) I would imagine this and the MSI Wind/Advent 4211 are going to need to be a fair bit cheaper (sub £200) to really generate some interest.

this may be of help

Bear in mind this is a Netbook/Notebook ....not a full Laptop .....it has no CD/DVD Reader/reWriter in it .........only USB & Multi-card reader.
#33
I hope this isn't the one you bought from Morrisons - it's got a German keyboard layout. :D

The webcam is rubbish. The 3cell battery gives you about 2 hours running time.

But it runs Mac OS X really well. Especially if you swap the wireless card.

This is a great little machine.

Wondering if I should have waited for this instead of getting the Acer with XP?
Been installing a few applications on DVD via my PC via wireless network.
Works a treat,no need for a DVD drive!

I would go for the dell outlet. It suggest the laptops are refurburbished but in reality you would never know. I have purchased two laptops from it and they have both been pristine. The last one was a budget one for my parents £250. At the moment they are also doing £55 off and free delivery so keep an eye out and rememebr they update it about every hour or so, so keep an eye out. The budget one would be the Inspiron 1525  good luck
#38
Would go for this but the battery life is not great. Why get a netbook when you can only get 2 and a bit hours?. May get the Samsung NC10 reviews have been showing it can do well over 5 hours saw a review where they got 6 hours and 34 minutes!
#39
I have the Advent 4211 which has an identical chassis. I can assure you, the build quality is excellent.,

This (the one posted) has a bigger hard drive and actually costs less than my Advent, soo voted HOT.

How do you get OS X to run on this?
