For an extra £50 you can get a Sony Vaio with an i5 processor at 2.40Ghz

I have a Medion laptop and contrary to received wisdom, it's fine - it really is! Having said that, this is a bad deal. I am pretty sure I saw this exact machine in the Camberley branch of Aldi for £449.99 last week. I'd buy it myself but any laptop which doesn't have a decent dedicated graphic card is no good to me as it won't play modern games.

PS - before you jump in the car, the one in Camberley may have gone now!

Voted cold. Better to be had elsewhere.

I just googled Sony Vaio and it came up with the Sony Style website i think it was - Mine came to a total of £688 i think, that was with an extra Gb of RAM.

I got i5 2.40Ghz
500Gb HDD
4Gb RAM
ATI Radeon 5650 Graphics card
and 720p screen

I thought it wasnt bad for under £700 :)

https://www.sonystyle.co.uk/shop/VAIO-Laptop-PCs/E-Series-14-15-17/

Its the one thats says starting from £658.99. the 15.5"
#7
fantastic cheers for that, seems a much better option than the medion, that is at first, its price at £658.99 is bog standard, excluding the HD display, better graphics card and upgrade to 4 gb of RAM. With all the bolt-ons that matched the medions (all excluding the intel i5 proccessor that is) the price reached £718.98. pain in the ass tbh because the deal on the webpage draws you in thinking your getting a bargin. so the medion isnt looking too bad for its HD display and and 4gb RAM but lacking in the i5 proccessor. voila
#8
HD Display is not essential - you wont notice the difference when your that close to a laptop screen.
RAM is only £20 more so - £678
Much better graphics card - Dedicated is always better!
Processor is way better also!

The Medion wont be able to run any games really if thats what your looking for it to do, but if your going to spend £600 on a laptop, make sure you get one that will run everything you want it to :)

just found a dell insperon N0056410 for £600 and it has the same as the medion but has the i5 proccessor
#10
haha lol thanks :) well while your there you can check the dell to see if thats anygood? yes i want to game a bit, i have dow2 and my current laptop doesnt play it well.
#11
i am a noob at comps as it were, i would pay you for your efforts but it would be in virtual money and that would suck. the dell 15R for £649 is looking even better but i dont know what the graphics mean compared to others, whether there good compared to the sony vaio and ther brands around the same price :D

Link worked mate :) and a quick look at that and it does look a good deal, losing out on the graphics card to the sony. but shouldnt be a big loss. Lets say i can run crysis at 45fps, yours would maybe do 30 - 35. i'd say go for it :) the sony i5 processor and hdd is out of stock at the moment anyway so i would maybe have gone for that dell if i hadnt got the sony
#16
excellent, thankyou very much :) im favoriting this site because it has helpful, knowlagable people on it, thanks lord darkness :)

No probs :) Your lucky I had just been looking for a laptop myself! :)
