Hope and pray you don't need Medion CS, because if you do, your lappy will be gone for 4-5 weeks. If you're lucky, it will have been repaired/swopped.

got this model but with a bigger hard drive 1080p and i5 processor, its a good laptop but had the annoying mouse freeze known with this line, at first i thought it was the laptop but realised just the touchpad is freezing and not the computer, seems to occur more when multitasking, i use logitech touchmouse on my iphone if i am multi tasking now and never get the freezing issue but can not use it without wifi, could get a bluetooth or wifi touchpad, refuse to get a usb attachment or a mouse as takes away the point of a laptop. usb 3 and bluetooth are useful, it comes wuth power dvd 10 which seems to suggest you can hdmi 3d blu ray to a 3d ready diplay. unfortunately i can not comfirm as no 3d tvs but it does have this option in display settings and i have some 3d blu rays which work but only show 2d from one of the eyes on the laptop, i guess this does work as my 2d blu ray just says 3d blu rays are not compatible

Yes that is a first gen i3 not worth £199 IMO.

I have had this and returned it.
I had the mouse sticking/ unresponsive issue.
I changed from an XPS Dell and couldnt adjust to the cheap plasticky flimsy feel to it although accepted that it is only £300 so understandable.
I removed the bloatware and it still didnt "feel" any quicker than my core2duo Dell.
USB3 was real quick for transferring files to a USB3 pen.

I stuck a £40 128gb SSD in my old Dell since and it feels like a new laptop!

The Medion is a better specification on paper, but build quality is poor and Medion CS is appaling should you have a problem.

The Toshiba is a better build quality, slower processor, no usb 3.0 or blu-ray but does have double the HDD compared to the Medion. I've had 5 of the medions (without blu-ray) for various jobs and found they performed no better than late P4 sandybridge chipsets and first gen core i3's. I also have a similar 1st gen Toshiba that I prefer. So for £299.99 it just depends on what the user would be buying it for and what interests them the most.

To say the Toshiba is only worth £199 is daft IMO unless you can point us all as to where we would be buying them from?

Build quality on C660 is poor. That Argos Toshiba deal is a bad deal. Speaking from experience as a laptop refurbisher and seller of laptops.

But the Toshiba is still a reasonable buy and the build quality is no worse than the medion, i've had experience with both models and also in the same line of business as yourself. Neither are high end quality but for basic computing are fine.

Guys word of warning about these, the entire plastic casing is spray painted black, and peels off after a few weeks if not already is peeling off when you unbox it. The touchpad is also spray painted so it becomes very sticky to use. Brilliant spec on paper but poor build quality i'm afraid.

I've got one of these in the house. Incredible machine at this price. Blazing fast. Haven't found issue with keyboard or tp yet, but for the most part it uses external peripherals anyway.

Mine was dead after 5 weeks, only have 30 day new replacement swap out from Ebuyer, so back to Median in Germany they write you a letter with return details ,,, 5 days ,,,, DPD collect ,,, then been with them 16 days and counting

I just noticed that this laptop has been reduced by £10, bringing it down to £289.99. I'm thinking of getting one next week, when I have enough money. Next step is to find a click and collect store near me in east Lancashire.

Didn't go for that deal in the end; I went for a Fujitsu Lifebook deal from Dabs instead. It arrived this morning and I am using it to type this message. Very fast computer, I must say.
