great deal for an average user...matt screen as well, which is nice

good reviews from the 'experts' but slightly mixed reviews from users here: http://reviews.sainsburys.co.uk/2678-en_gb/123059580/reviews.htm

looks like this model has been on offer a few times on hukd!

Seems a better deal than the 1000+ degrees one...

Yeah, I thought it was hot before I even noticed it said Bluray too.

Post a laptop of the same spec for less, or take your idiotic trolling somewhere else.

No bluetooth and a smaller hard drive, not sure it's quite so clear cut. Good luck with Medion support :)

Fantastic price , just hope nothing goes wrong with it because medion support is ****. I had to fix a medion laptop myself.

Use it as a wifi enabled BD player seriously!! install XMBC and use it as a media center..

As stated in techradar's review (23/5/11) "this is a fantastic bargain that will suit students and cash-strapped yet demanding users" Back then, it was £480. Brand new with blu ray, usb 3.0, hdmi out, a good cpu and a decent screen for £299? It's got to be hot.

i have just returned this same laptop to ebuyer because the touchpad is temperamental. Seems a common error on this model. Buyer beware.

And how cheap should it be, in your opinion? Brand new laptops (of any spec) don't come much cheaper than this (maybe £280 if you're lucky), and the vast majority of those are AMD netbook-equivalent processors, and they certainly don't have Blu-ray. This is great for the price.

Thanks. Makes sense for drop in price. Will hold off. Money starting to burn hole in pocket though

Just bought this for £280 a week ago, which was a hotukdeal. I guess £20 more isn't that bad if you really need a bluray drive for some reason.

Its a very glossy black laptop - touchpad a little too glossy for me but spec is excellent for the price. Sainsburys were selling the same model just under a year ago for £229 but without blu-ray
