sounds good and don't usually consider myself a badge snob but I don't feel safe parting with £600 for a medion, would be interested what others think and if anyone's had to use support & warranty

4 cell and 4 hours probably in line with the spec
wonder if it still has the built in Intel graphics too

I'd go with one of the Asus I5 with a GTX950m for £579 or £599 currently available (128SSD or 1TB SSHD)

but then thats different again, have to choose between ssd or hhd or lose an optical, this gives all 3 so as well as the flexibility there is a much higher value
obviously its a tradeoff on how you value the brands etc

Medion and Lenovo have bad CS if your laptop develops a problem. I would never touch them again.

Being Lenovo it's quite likely it WILL have a problem too. Just sent back a brand new one because it kept crashing and their reliability history is poor to mediocre. (not to mention superfish and other spyware debacles)

Extra £10 off when signing up to their Newsletter too, they send you a code fairly quickly after filling out and submitting :)
