950M :{

At least a couple of tiers below what I'd expect at this price point.

Do you have an example of one with better at this price?

I'm trying to figure this laptop out. It's got a U series i7, which suggests it's going for thin and light, but it's 17" & 2.4kg
Not sure you'll find a comparable price/spec to be honest

It's 950M + i7U, sorry but it's not gaming laptop...

Would be crazy to pay so much for a Medion laptop.

I know nothing about laptops but I agree with you, I seen one for £175 at the end of the fruit isle in tesco, so this one sounds a little expensive...

what's your definition of a gaming laptop ? I'm sure there will be some new new games that it won't play but I have a 950m with a i5u (paid 550) that runs games like saints row 4 on ultra so not too bad for a laptop !

I bought this laptop last month and I;m playing battlefield 1 at 1080p on it. Meduim graphics quality, but runs like a dream. Not found anything it won't run. Recommended!

You can buy a Dell Insprion 15 Gaming with gtx960m for same price after code, think the codes Premiumuk for £100 off.

Try playing Doom.
You'll have to drop it to 720p low unless you're happy with sub 30fps.

Surely you're better off with something like this from the Dell outlet:

As new warranty and certified refurbished. It has a 4gb gtx 960m and an i7 6700hq processor, both of which are better than the model in the op.

I know it's refurbished, but having bought from the Dell outlet before it will be as new and the warranty will be the same as new. The only real difference will be it won't come in the original box.

Also worth noting, the graphics card is this comes with the older (slower) gddr3 graphics memory, which means it will be quite a way off the gtx 960m in performance.

I think they've sold out now. It actually was working out closer to £650 if you count 7% cash back that tcb have been offering. Waiting for mine to arrive. It's an i5 6300HQ not an i7u but I've seen at least one article that reckons it's better than the i7, certainly shouldn't affect its ability to game
