not a bad price but medion products i wouldnt recommend build quality is poor. i got a laptop while back and ac power pin always brakes takes them 1 month to fix it, shocking customer service, however desktop cud be different.

Backing up the other comments, Medion are mince and just cheap made ****

Their customer service is non-existent or just plain annoying. ie they Ignore you or leave you on hold for hours so they can give you the run around.
Their engineers either have no clue, with the only training a "Installing PC Components for Dummies" book, or hate their job due to having no support from Medion.

Rubbish brand, if it breaks just go to Tesco, if it breaks after the 28days that was mentioned, then you are gonna have fun.

i got told i would have an extended warantee then next time i foned they said the person who said that was sacked as he wasnt tellin people the right information, they are ball bags lol thats the only phrase i can associate with them.

I got a Packard Bell IExtreme from PCWorld for about £630 with the same specs but without HDMI, 2 less USB ports, 360GB less hard drive space, but got an extra gig of RAM.

This works out cheaper, but if Medion are really ********, then I think I got a better deal.

I bought a Medion desktop from Aldi of all places about six years ago. Can't tell you what customer services are like as despite giving it a right hammering (my three year old went through a phase of dancing on the tower whenever we weren't looking) I have never had any problems.

Maybe I just got lucky but take as you find I always say. I would buy another no worries.

Looks like a great spec. I've never had any trouble with Medion stuff, they're not great for upgrading but the build quality is fine and I've never had any problems.

I have had 2 Medion Desktops, both are still running fine, never any problems with either, the oldest one is about 8 years old, the newer one is coming up to 3 years old, got both of them from Aldi with 3 year warranty on each.;-)

Got that right, mine was just over 3years old now, and it had near all components replaced countless times.
Always refurbed parts they send out for Warranty repairs, which tend to break again, and again, every time they send them out, get back, then send out again etc.

Mine was ALDI and trust me the 3yr warranty was the only reason it lasted as long as it did and even then, i gave up due to the hassle of it all after about 2 1/2yrs.
Had an older Medion and it was great, but they started going higher spec about 3 or 4 years ago, and with the ****** build quality of their own specially made parts they just couldnt cope with the extra stresses (Motherboards and Graphics cards are made specifically to Medion spec, and is where 90% of problems are).

Tesco Medions only have a 1yr Warranty mind, so take that into mind.
And general wait times for repairs are about a month. Engineer visits are scrapped, so you have to send it away which takes longer.
If you game with it, and games get higher spec, and this burns out after a year you are up a creek without a paddle.
Medion wont touch it, and its harder to show its a pre-existing fault to Tesco if its after the year and its been working ok till then.

Same would apply to any brand of computer that went wrong.;-)

Not really a review but they appear to have no problem with Medion. See: http://www.trustedreviews.com/pcs/news/2007/12/29/Tesco-Sells-Quad-Core-1TB-Desktop-For-Under-600/p1

had a quick look for this at dell, but couldn't see it... do you have a link to it?

I'd like to have a look at that as I'm replacing my old machine in the next few weeks...
