Much cheaper than last year when I had to renew, only £1.11 for the whole year!!

Go watch one movie and you've already made up the cost including excess. Codes can be used for pre-booking on both Cineworld and Odeon's websites.

As normal, select a single day travel insurance for the UK (I did the 1st October) and you'll find quotes as cheap as £1.11. One I got out was with TravelInsurance.co.uk

FAQ

What details do I need to get a cheap quote:
Where: UK
Type: Single Trip
Going: 1 Oct
Returning: 2 Oct (1 Night)
Insure: Just Me
Extras: Don't tick any
Medical: No

How do I get the Meerkat Movies?
Download the app or go here, confirm basic details (e.g. what product you purchased, insurer, policy number) and then it will validate. If you're new it may take 48 hours to activate.

Apple - App Store

Android - Play Store

Is it one code or multiple?
You get one code per week and can only be used once. The code is valid until midnight Wednesday.

How long is it valid for?
12 months from purchase of quality product, in this case travel insurance.

Can I use it online when pre-booking?
Yes with some cinema chains, check out their websites. Note: The code can only be used in the week it is valid, so in effect you can book no more than 7 days in advance.

What Cinemas qualify?
Cineworld, Showcase, Odeon, Vue, Premiere, AMC

What happens if my current Meerkat Movies hasn't run out?
It's one membership per 12 months. Hence wait until it expires then get it out again

Does it work with 3D, Imax, Xplus etc?
Yes but the offer only covers a standard 2D screening. Cinemas generally charge extra for these on both tickets.

Where can I trade codes:
Here

Other Info:

If you have a Cineworld unlimited card you can use that and a code an get 2 tickets , so for the cost of a unlimited card at £17 a month you get 2 free tickets a week , at over £10 a ticket at my cinema that's over £80 for a months tickets for £17 , and of course the extra cost of £1.11 just thought I'd share - Desp

Quick question, can I take my brother to the movies as per the 2 for 1 offer? Also, say the venue has additional extra such as paying for 3D, is that included or I pay the additional charge for the extra ticket? Thanks

Unfortunately you cannot take your brother if he doesn't want to go as that would be classed as kidbrothernap.

Yep, Vue accept the Meerkat Movies codes.

If you use them online, then you have to pay booking fees for two tickets (75p per ticket), but other than that it's 2-for-1 as normal.

I've just renewed for £1.11 but only have Meerkat movies till 5 /6/2017 - gutted

Just a tip: do not to book it whilst you have an active 2 for 1 already as it will not work. For example account expires on 20th May, if you buy a qualifying sale on 18th/19th/20th May it will not count but buy it on 21st May and that's fair play.

Damnit. Mine keeps coming up as £2.46 (top dog ins). Is it because I is ugly?
#32
UK insurance for tomorrow only at £1.11 from Travel Insurance. Enter code in the iPhone app and...

You are a MEERKAT MOVIES member until 21st August 2017.

Not quite 12 months but it's good for few months savings. Had been expired for weeks now.

Back when I was at university in Manchester when it was still Orange Wednesdays we'd get two student tickets for £4.80 total at AMC - I presume they allow the same at other chains.
