Are these the ones where you charge them up via the remote transmitter and they run for 5/10mins or is it a mini version of a proper full blown radio controlled car?

I'm guessing the first because of the price.

I think 3 x AAA for car and 2 x AA for radio control   :!:

What a ****** you are! I have 3 of these and they are great. They are relatively small and handle really well. They have 3 switchable channels so you can race 3 at a time. I was amazed at how well they perform. Battery lif eis quite good, especially if you get those 1000mah rechargeables.

Thanks, will try for another 2 if you can race 3 at the same time.

Thanks for that - you have convinced me to get a few. Good to have switchable channels - seems to be quite rare at the budget end of the r/c spectrum - rep for the info, and heat and rep for the deal:thumbsup:

Cheers something to keep me amused at lunchtime.

Reserved these yesterday, went to collect with just the confirmation number and was told these are not included in the BOGOF these are £4.99 each. I went back today with a print out of the emailed confirmation and they still tried to charge me for two. I spoke to the store manager, he wasn't much help, I said the print out says total £4.99 for 2 and after about 20 mins I did get the deal but he made out he was doing me a favour. Make sure when reserving these over the internet you print out your confirmation number and take it to the store.

These don't have switchable channels so to race more than one you will need to make sure you get ones with different channels. The ones I just bought are both the same channel so will take one back tomorrow to see if I can change it for a different channel.
Just had a play in the kitchen and the do cool J-turns and are quite fun for £2.50 even though there is £1.50 worth of batteries in them!

I just got back from picking the 2 that I reserved up. No problem with the RC cars but I ordered 2 Magnext sets that were part of the deal and they didn't show up as part of the BOGOF offer. As it happens, I didn't even notice, it was the sales assistant who brought my attention to it but she sorted it out for me and refunded me in cash. So I guess it will save you some potential hassle if you take a print out with you.

You can see the 3 switch positions for the 3 channels. Controller also has 3 positions. Perhaps they have changed it and it no longer has this feature, as it was over 1 year ago since I bought mine.

Just reserved 2 at Imperial Park Bristol

Many thanks
#34
Do these have sterring or is it just back and forward action?
#35
They have proper steering and handle really well. There relatively small size makes them respond well. For £2.50 they are a steal.
#36
just reserved mine, going to pick them up later, i'll confirm whether they are 1 or 3 channel
#37
Awesome little toys!! Picked up two last night, and had the dogs chasing them round the house all evening!

Mine don't have the channel selection though, but they are slightly different frequencies so don't interfere anyway :)

Fantastic for £2.50 each, heat + rep added!
