Bought some of these today at Tesco home Plus store in Southampton.
L'oreal,Ambre Solaire, and Nivea sun tan spray (for the kids)lotion (for me) and self tanning cream ( for the wife hope she does not read this!!) all reduced.
Sun spray from £10 reduced to £ 2.50 Insect repellant down to 93p Self tan lotion down to £2.37.Loads of different makes you just need to ensure the reduced ones are not mixed up with the non redueced items, as I found out at checkout.
Admittedly no good for this year but as a hoarder I will relax in the sun in 2008 knowing I am tanning cheaply : )

Got some hammerite metal spray paint for only £1.49 a can.

They''l be making room for the christmas stock, this is what they are doing at the store i work in, I usually pick mines up this way,did last year......they will reduce them even more if they don't all sell out ( believe it or not, they can go down too 1p but i never told you that ;-) ).....you can always ask the staff if they have any in back stock,as usually to much stock to go onto shelfs,so it goes into warehouse :santa:

if you buy sun cream products this year and dont open them, after 12 months they are only 50% as strong e.g. factor 50 this year will be factor 25 after 12 months UNOPENED

I was in my local Boots this morning and a customer in front of me was asking the pharmasist(I can never spell that! ) what was the best before date on Soltan Sun Cream, and she was told that if you keep an unopened tube/container of sun cream after 12 months it has only 50% of the original strengh so buy a Factor 30 this year keep it unopened for 12 months then it is only a factor 15 this time next year

I think it starts to deteriorate slowly after the expiry date has passed.

As you could buy a tube of cream that has been sitting on the shelf since last april and someone could have bought a tube in April and left it unopened would you expect yours to last longer than the april purchase?

I knew this too,but how long do you think some of the items have been sitting on shelfs for ?;-) Also how long have they taken to get from factory to supplier to seller?

I know that a lot of creams etc that have been on a shelf for at least a year :w00t:
usually slow sellers etc......;-)

I once bought some sun-oil at end of season, only to try to open it up again the following May, and the entire contents had solidified. (This was oil though, for those who tan quickly etc)

The problem is that the bottles dont have a date on them. If i buy a bottle today how do i know how long its been there already? 12 months from date of purchase isnt the same as 12 months from date of production
