Samsung NX2000 Compact System Camera Kit £176.99 @ Amazon/MegaDeals

This seems like very good price, samsung is not a brand that is well known in the DSLR market this item sells on the fact it is very cheap.

What are you on about? The lenses have the highest average ratings of ANY CSC manufacturer, AND the lowest prices. What more do you want?
You know that DxO ratings aren't everything when it comes to lenses, right?
For prices take the 60mm for example, the Olympus one is cheaper same with the Tamron for Nikon/Canon, the Fuji is a tad more expensive. Canonikon are around the same price. The Samyang for NX are more expensive, as they don't sell.
The only interesting lens is the Samsung NX 16-50mm F2.0-2.8 S ED OIS, which costs more than the (albeit a bit slower) Fuji equivalent and as much as the Olympus/Panasonic f/2.8 zooms.
Limited 3rd party lenses, plus a weak first party lens roadmap is a no go for me. Don't forget Samsung is an electronics company, they will prefer to release bodies especially for the low-end market over lenses.

Not a big fan of the Samsung NX series here. To get quality pictures you need to invest in glass and Samsung lenses aren't that great.

IMO for the same price range go with an Olympus PEN or the Panasonic G5 (£199).

It hasn't got a viewfinder.

I can't stand trying to look at an lcd screen in sunlight.

I thought the same, but took a similar camera to Cuba and never had any problems, the screens are so bright these days that it isn't such an issue now.

Objective Lens Diameter: 60mm. That's very small. OK for the moon and Jupiter but Saturn and anything else is going to look disappointingly dark and fuzzy.

90mm is the smallest I would recommend. 120mm is ideal.

Not voted either way as I know some people with little money will still get some use out of this.

Any product link you recommend for a 120mm starter?

I've not used this company, but this is the product I would recommend

Skywatcher 120mm

Sorry that was the 90mm, here's the 120mm >Skywatcher 120mm

Having a quick read round it does tend to get warm, apparently common with mirrorless cameras

Need to buy a spare battery now though and a few more sd cards :)

Thanks, it does get incredibly warm though

the ef mount has arrived today, so I may just try it with my 70-200 f2 L lens :D

and see how good the HD video is too

Is that just because its been incredibly hot weather these past weeks!

Great shot and great quality!
This is of my 13 year old daughter, it was a quick shot, only took about 8 or 9 shots following the kids around the house LOL
