An excellent film, good delivered price! MEMENTO, the second feature by writer-director Christopher Nolan (FOLLOWING), is an intricately constructed film noir that masterfully inverts time to comment on the foggy relationship between memory and truth. MEMENTO tells the story of Leonard Shelby (Guy Pearce), a former insurance investigator who witnesses a brutal attack on his wife. Knocked unconscious, Leonard wakes up with a rare brain condition--he no longer possesses short-term memory. He can remember his name and all the details of his past, but he can no longer make new memories. Armed with a careful system of remembering details (he compulsively snaps Polaroids and scribbles notes, then tattoos the important facts directly onto his body), the distraught Leonard goes on a manhunt to avenge his wife's death. To illustrate the unique and frightening state of the protagonist's mind (he cannot remember what happened even seconds before), Nolan takes a brilliantly successful risk in telling the story backward. The film begins with Leonard killing the man he's looking for. From there MEMENTO unravels a compellingly disconcerting trail back to the start. As the layers of the story are peeled back scene by scene, Leonard's involvement with two enigmatic friends--who both claim to be helping him--complicates the mystery.
Based on a short story by the director's brother, Jonathan Nolan, MEMENTO is an incredibly original film that is so wonderfully puzzling and eerily ambiguous that it will surely warrant repeated viewings.

Good Film, well the Bollywood version
I am yet to see the Hollywood version....
Brilliant film very difficult to understand at first.
Awww, I could have got this in the Somerfield clearance for £1 the other day but I put it back as I'd never heard of it! Sounds like a good film :-(
excellent film
great film, worth ordering if you aint seen it/dont own it
Fantastic film :) Thanks Amibees
awesome film
by chris nolan who did dark knight
great film but worth getting the special edition release as you can actually watch the film forwards!(that will make no sense to people that havent seen it!)
Not wanting to knock this deal in particular (and to prove it I'll post this message on the other £2.99 DVD on this page) but quite frankly I don't get it. There are a tonne of DVDs around at the moment for £3 a film even £1 (which I can actually see as hot if it's a decent film). Looks like all you have to do is pick a popular film and it's guaranteed hot....just because people like the film.

Ahh maybe I'm just miserable;-)
I'm going to have this deal tatooed onto my body so that I don't forget about it. :-D

Why watch it 'the right way' ? surely the right way is the the way it was made? you know, as the director wanted it? at the cinema? - honestly, it's not that hard to watch.
I was going to comment on this thread but I can't remember how it all started! ;)

TOP film, Heat added & special edition ordered. Thanks, OP

i didn''t say it wasn't hard to watch, one of my all time favourite films, it's just nice to be able to watch the story the other way round.

I wouldn't advise anyone to watch it the oher way before actually watching the film how it was made.

Did you not see how i out " " around the right way? :?
Its worth watching in chronological order after you're seen the film a couple of times and it plays quite well in that order as well, which is pretty remarkable. Although, I thought that viewing in chronological order was maybe an easter egg on the normal edition.
