#5
Maybe if op posted all the netto deals on one thread instead of individually....
#6
I expect theyre all cold cos your flooding the board dont see why you didnt post 1 entitled 'netto deals'

Good deal - I love BOGOFs. Nice post - heat added. Keep flooding the market with deals - that what it's all about. ;-)

That is the reason, seen it done before!:?

Does it make the deals worse then? Seems very petty

No it doesn't make the deals worse.
But what it does, as in the past such as the woolworths posts you get the site clogged up with endless pages that could all be put under the one banner.

As these were all from the same person it would have been simple to have posted correctly. Peep,s then vote cold so as to show their annoyance about it. Myself I vote neither way, but when you have been around the site for a while you do learn how to post to good effect.

but then how would we know that Nettos are doing a bogof on pillows?? , a thread titled netto deals would be clogged up, best to post individually in my opinion,

But if this guy had listed this good item, then fine, but he then went on to list virtually the whole catalogue whether it was a bargain or not. Which sadly had a negative affect on the good post.

He just listed everything on the netto leaflet without any regard to its individual merit. This is very common with newbies, but they have to learn, and constructive advice is available, and the fact that even his good post has gone sub zero shows that this advice for him is valid. This Is HOT uk deals not "So So average uk deals."

I Agree Pedroman
I Remeber Once When Someone Posted About 25 Wilkinson Deals In About 1 Hour.
It Was Just Chaos! People Would Vote Hot If It Was Just One Post.
There Aren't Bad Posts, There Just Too Much, Too Fast.

Odd how no-one moans when it is dozens of Tesco or Asda offers, all separate?

I prefer it this way - I may well be interested in one item, and not another but might well scan past it if it was lumped in with other stuff.

Maybe some sort of policy needs sorting out for this type of situation instead of a lot of arguing, and a situation where ONE pack of grapes at 50p /kg has shot into glowing heat, yet deals on Netto which are available in a huge number of stores are being voted cold for nothing more than difference of opinion on the logistics of posting.

good find -- thanks.

fwiw, I prefer individual posts for individual products. let's face it, whether something's a 'good deal' is subjective - if it's something you're interested in or are looking for then it's a good deal, if it's not you scan to the next post.

I'd go as far as to suggest that there should be no negative votes available, leaving the really undesireables at zero. that way, it may take the 'ego' out of the voting system.

thanks for sharing the deal ED19 - appreciated, h and r added.

Ultimately, this site is based around finding good deals and their rating based on users appraisals of them.

When deals get rated based on posting etiquette with no regard to content, we can all go home.

i understand what you're saying, I'm suggesting that my alternate option may restore more balance and thus result in a lot less people getting hacked off by a few morons. zero is still zero - cold. this still leaves the good deals the opportunity to warm up - and denies the morons their incentives and rewards.
happy hunting :)
