for people who have never shopped with mx2.co.uk i can say they are reliable and have great customer service goods genrally get dispatched within 2-3 days sometimes earlier.
#2
Would go nicely with one of those Poundland SD/MMC readers to make a cheap 2GB flash drive
#3
Is this the cheapest 1gb around?

Thanks, will this work in the Nokia 6300?

I ordered 2 of the SD cards - Got a 'new order' confirmation email. After a few days, I contacted them regarding delivery because I want them for my holidays in 7 days time. Was told that the memory cards were out of stock but more stock was expected within the next 3 - 4 working days. When I visited the web site - the same cards are still available to order - nothing to indicate 'OUT OF STOCK'. I have cancelled my order and I am ordering two cards from a more reliable and honest firm.

Has anyone received theirs?

I ordered mine a week yesterday and still not arrived.

Starting to worry. :?

This is the email I got from MX2 on the 6th July

Sorry but the goods you have ordered are currently out of stock. We expect
them in within the next 2 to 3 working days.

Please accept our apologies for this delay, we do always try to keep high
stocks of items in, but sometimes due to high demand, or a general
shortage/manufacturing problem it is not always possible

If you want to cancel at any time please contact us either by email or
telephone tel: 01481-740-400.

I have since ordered and received 2 - 1gb cards from Play.com - free delivery £7.99 each - received them within 5 days of the order.

Don't hold me to this, but it is my understanding that the majority of mobile phones (including the Nokia 6300) take Micro (rather than 'standard') SD cards.

Ebuyer are currently offering 1GB Micro SD cards plus a MicroSD to SD adapter for just £6.99 including free delivery... and they have loads in stock!

Their 512 Mb cards are £4.69, also with the apapter & free delivery.

P.S. Perhaps this should be a 'Hot Deal' in itself!

Thanks for the reply teesdale, dissapointing outcome though :-(

Surely the Kingston 1gb SD card from DVD.co.uk is a pretty good alternative? Only 50p more.
#15
do you know what you should do ring them and complain and iam sure they will do something about it, they take complains seriously as i have been shopping with them for many years and never had a problem this was the first time.
#16
Have sent them a slightly snotty e-mail this morning, see if they get back to me.
#17
ring them its quicker.

They got back to me today via e-mail:-

This is to confirm cancellation of your order (first I've heard of it!! Last I heard from them was to confirm my order!!!) As we do not charge until dispatch no refund is necessary. :x

So, now I need to find a memory card for my camera which I got on my birthday last week and have been waiting to be able to take more than 11 pictures with!! :-(

They do still appear to be advertising them though... and at the same price.

No mention of 'out of stock' or anything like that... strange!

Hey, it's not your fault!

You have no need to apologise, it's the company at fault not you.
