2kg for £8.98 - that's a bargain. Shame you can't tell what the best before / use by dates are. Hot from me.

My maths skills aren't good enough to work out (quickly at least) whether this is a better deal than the 6 280g jars for £6.00 that is also available from Amazon. Heat added though because I love this peanut butter. :)

6 x 280g jars for £6 is 3.57 per Kg
This deal is 4.49 per Kg

So, the jars are better!

(P.S. The jars are also £1 each in Tesco at the moment)

6*0.28kg = 1.68kg £6/1.68 = £3.57/kg

£8.98/2kg = £4.49/kg, so surprisingly this is actually worse value (by 26%).

edit: what ctdctd said.

Whoa — thanks for that!

*cancels order*

1-2 months ship time on the 6 pack of jars ATM, though, so probably best to go to Tesco for those :3

I always so confused by Peanut Butter in terms of healthy.

I would *live* on Peanut Butter if it was considered healthy.

But I believe its the whole "What you put it on" (Crumpeeeeeets!) and how much you have it.

This stuff tastes fantastic but after giving it a 5* review my second order of 2 x 1kg tubs was swimming in oil. I am still having to pour the oil off every so often. As I understand it is peanut oil but there is way too much.Other reviewers on Amazon have found this also. So fantastic taste but oilyyyyyyyyy.

It's because it doesn't contain emulsifiers therefore separation occurs as it states on the tub.

Maybe so sashahook but I dont want to be pouring off volumes of oil every time I open the lid. Surely they can filter out some of the oil which may account for about 20% of the product from what I can see. Possibly its a matter of economics as am sure oil is cheaper than peanuts.
