Most 1kg tubs from Meridian I've tried recently, smooth and crunchy have tasted really weird, and some even rancid! I've had many of the smaller glass jars in all varieties and they taste fine so I took some time investigating the situation and was told by a Meridian representative there had been problems with over roasting and a different variety of nuts being used in some of the batches!

Batch 6293 Jan 2018 expiry was identified but I have found Batch 6239 Nov 2017 expiry to be similar! As of now I will only buy the glass jars and always check to make sure it's a recent batch! I absolutely believe Meridian PB is the best and they're a great company, I'm just pointing out they had some difficulties recently.

The recent release of peanut butter with pumpkin, sunflower and black sesame seeds is just divine and I can't wait to try the new peanut butter with cocoa as well!

I hope Meridian move away from single use plastic containers and focus on recycling the glass jars under a discount program as it's better for the environment and also tastes much better as well. Now I just have to stop buying bottled water every other day lol

in terms of best before? Almost ordering but would take forever to eat this much....a tub for each family member?

I like the price, of course, but why the odd labels and the lack of manufacturer product code. I've still got plenty of Meridian peanut butter, we love it . Even at this price I'm holding-off without knowing more about it

Voted hot for the keen price nonetheless

bit of a mixed blessing, don't know if I could control myself if I had that much peanut butter. A few days ago I had at Tesco's home delivery and they didn't have the small jar I ordered so they replaced it with a 1 kg tub like this, non-organic, nno extra cost, and it was like more peanut butter I've ever seen in my life.

Great deal, I have ordered hope it tastes how it should.

I bought few small jars recently and the taste was really bad.

Never understood why meridian is so popular, I find it super oily (even when stirred) and lacking I taste. Best PB I've had is still the 1kg tubs from Muscle food - crunchy preferred!

You're meant to stir it, also you probably like processed crap by the sounds of it as this peanut butter is actually natural and just roasted nuts as ingredients

Because we're all different I guess. Some like marmite but I think it's disgusting...

I have been buying this stuff for years. Only recently the quality went downhill.

No need for manual or your judgment.

Thanks. Now just where to store it apart from my stomach

The sellers own main website lists the 1kg tubs at £5.48 and the photo shows the conventional style meridian printed labelling not this 'new' blackstrap style. All a bit odd. Looks like a misprice to me. Good luck to anyone who orders.

Ordered 4x1kg organic pnut butter, bargain, thanks OP! ONE UNIT LEFT, HURRY
#38
Bought but wary of it ,will let youz know when it arrives
#39
I've ordered but still not entirely sure if the this is 4 x 250g or 4 x 1kg... I hope it's the latter.. :D

Thats a bit rude, you have made a presumption about someone's taste in food based on one sentence.
