  These are FAB cards. We were lucky enough to get them with tesco vouchers and because we bought before 1st Jan even luckier to get free parking. However the amount you will save overall on the attractions outweighs the fact you have to pay for parking.
  And from Sept Blackpool Tower is incl in it..

  Beware. Free parking is no longer available with the merlin pass, plus their are restrictions on dates for some of the attractions including the London Eye. You even have to pay extra if you want to go to Thorpe park during their fright season in October. You only get all of the above with the premium pass which costs more.

  Considering the amout of "half price" vouchers these do you'd have to go six or more times before these passes start paying for themselves. Which is a lot more than most people would go. Good for white knuckle fanatics who live near some of the venues but that's about it really.

  Cheers for this.We've had the passes for a couple of years now as we only live a couple of miles from Alton Towers and could nip in for a couple of hours.The increase in price of the cards and having to pay £5 each time for the parking has tipped the balance.
  We won't be renewing and will have a nice year at National Trust properties instead :)

  Good Deal at this price. I got four with Tesco's points and bought one via Capital Radio earlier this year for £99.
  
  The Alton Towers carparking is a bit of a sting if you only visit for a couple of hours, but you do get 10-20% off dining and gift shops with the card.
  
  We have arranged our summer/easter holidays to visit as many parks as possible to get maximum value from them.

  We have standard Merlin passes which we bought with Tesco Clubcard vouchers. We bougt ours after the official cut-off date, and in fact they say 'parking not included' on them however they've swiped us out of the carpark without paying at Alton Towers (many times, we live 20 mins away so quite often pop there for a couple of hours in an afternoon), Warwick Castle and last week at Legoland too. If yours is marked 'no parking' it might be worth trying too. We always have the cash to pay if we need to, but like I said so far it's been OK!

  They will still swipe you out until your current annual pass runs out after that it is 2 quid a car, unless you have one of their premium passes

  £85.44pp for a family of 3, 4 or 5 on the Merlin site for the same. Personally, I agree with Snookums. They have increased prices, and reduced usage. Vote with your feet (or keyboard) and don't buy them. If everyone did the same, maybe they'd reduce the price and go back to free parking. Voting cold.

  I'm confused, how is this a good deal at £99 when they are £84 on the Thorpe Park website, or £50 in clubcard vouchers?
  
  Went to Thorpe Park yesterday, first time in many years, it was so busy. We queued for 8 hours and got on a total of 5 rides all day. That includes paying an extra £4.50 to fast track one of the rides. I wouldn't recommend bothering going unless you like queuing or you go on a rainy day when no ones there, or buy a full fast track ticket (£66 online!). We used a buy 1 get one free, I assume these aren't valid on the fast track tickets though.
