free parking has been scrapped for new or renewing passes after 3rd jan so will have to pay £5 everytime u go if u renew after the 3rd
#7
very tempted :) thx op
#8
how I can get voucher to redeem? In post only? I will travle to London on Monday, do I still have time to bget it in time? Thanks!

Merlin Annual Passes are excellent. Well worth the money if you live in the South East & have easy access to Legoland/Chessington/Thorpe Park and London.
The discounts you get off food, drink and merchandise almost cover the cost of the passes themselves after several visits.
#10
yeah apart from the £5 parking everytime u visit
suspended#11
Can't you get public transport to these places?
#12
is it only individual not family as i have kids?
#13
What is the point of the merlin pass as there are so many restriction, August is the main month of use as the kids are off.. How is this worth it. (read the terms before you buy)
#14
u can only enter legoland in august after 2 pm
#15
it really needs to be picked up before the 3rd january as the old terms apply before then but maybee to late now ??
#16
Omg, just read these new conditions...what a con! No legoland before 2pm!!! I'm already annoyed that I have to buy a pass for my 3 year old despite the fact that she is free to get in at most places. Using my Clubcard vouchers but as I have already traded in for 3 of them I'll continue to get them but this will be the last year I think. I don't do London in any case as I have 3 children under 5 and don't fancy dragging them around London. Just wondering if it is worth forking out for the extra £30. Is it £5 everywhere or are some places more or less expensive?
Hot deal by the way. Makes me think twice sbout using £50 of clubcard points. If it was later in the year I would definately use it but we try to get 2 seasons out of ours
#17
OMG, thanks for that, what a shock! Our passes expire in Feb and got Tescos Deal Vouchers to get new passes after that. The Merlin Group have kept very quiet about the new restrictions. I was going to book to stay in the Travelodge in August and use the passes for a couple of days at Legoland. Won't bother now if no admittance till after 2pm & charging for car parking!
Hopefully Chessington will still be free to park and looking at the terms and conditions no restrictions (yet! Apart from Fright Nights)
#18
Also they have taken over Blackpool tower and are making a Tussauds attraction so better value for money once they include this.
Very ggod value for money passes if you plan to go to visit London, especially with extra 20% off.

Where?
Never paid for parking at any of the major theme parks, and wouldn't expect any parking at the london ones. Do Legoland and Chessington now charge?

It's an alright deal, but not being able to use it during August knocks the edge of it being a hot deal. Almost ruins it for me.
#20
quick tip if you have a voucher already you can redeem at the lego attraction at the trafford cente tommorow and mon and still be under the old terms if you cant get to anywhere before the third of jan no worries as if you have a capital fm voucher or are renewing it is only £30 to upgrade to a platinum pass with free all year parking and no restrictions on usage dates im picking mine up tommorow from manchester but just thought id let you all know 30 quid extra isnt the end of the world for the savings you make really to be honest i went 20 times last yr lol

You may be aware that we are making some changes to the Standard Merlin Annual Pass scheme from 4th January 2011. These changes will not impact existing passholders, and will therefore only apply to new passes purchased, renewed or collected from 4th January 2011. No changes will be made to the Premium Merlin Annual Pass, apart from a price reduction.

What are the main changes to the Standard Merlin Annual Pass?

The main changes happening, which will apply to new passes purchased, renewed or collected from 4th January 2011, will be:

Complimentary parking will no longer be included

Entry to LEGOLAND Windsor will not be permitted before 2pm during August

So what’s the situation with car parking charges?

We will be removing free car parking privileges from all new and renewed Standard Merlin Annual Passes purchased or collectedmay be aware that we are making some changes to the Standard Merlin Annual Pass scheme from 4th January 2011. These changes will not impact existing passholders, and will therefore only apply to new passes purchased, renewed or collected from 4th January 2011. The main changes happening, which will apply to new passes purchased, renewed or collected from 4th January 2011, will be:

Complimentary parking from 4th January 2011. Free car parking privileges will remain a benefit of the Premium Merlin Annual Pass.

What about the changes at LEGOLAND Windsor?

We will be removing access to LEGOLAND Windsor before 2pm during August from all new and renewed Standard Merlin Annual Passes purchased or collected from 4th January 2011. LEGOLAND Windsor will be extending its opening hours until at least 8pm during August to ensure there remains plenty of time to enjoy the attraction.

I am currently a Standard Merlin Annual Passholder. Will I have to pay for parking in 2011?

No. You will continue to receive complimentary parking at the attractions until your current pass expires.

I am currently a Standard Merlin Annual Passholder. Will I still be able to enter LEGOLAND Windsor before 2pm during August?

Yes. You will continue to enjoy entry to LEGOLAND Windsor at any time during August until your current pass expires.

So what will happen after my pass expires?

If you decide to renew into another Standard Merlin Annual Pass then you will no longer receive complimentary parking or entry to LEGOLAND Windsor before 2pm during August, as per the 2011 terms. However, you will have the option of renewing into a Premium Merlin Annual Pass if you choose.

Will the Premium Merlin Annual Pass cost me more when I renew?

We will be reducing the price of the Premium Merlin Annual Pass in 2011 so it will offer even more value than ever before. The renewal rates for 2011 will be as follows:

Standard Individual: £108 (£100 in 2010)

Premium Individual: £129.60 (£200 in 2010)

Standard Family of 3, 4 or 5: £72pp (£90pp in 2010)

Premium Family of 3, 4 or 5: £93.60pp (£200pp - £146pp in 2010)

How much will the difference be?

This really depends on the mix of passes and types that you choose. As you will see from the prices above, if you choose to renew into a Premium Merlin Annual Pass in 2011, a typical family of 4 will pay just £14.40 more than in 2010. If you choose to renew into a Standard Merlin Annual Pass (without parking), a typical family of 4 will save £72 compared to 2010 prices.

I have a Tesco Clubcard token that I have not yet redeemed. What will happen to me?

If you redeem your token on or before 3rd January 2011 then you will be subject to the current terms. If you redeem your token from 4th January 2011 onwards, then you will be subject to the 2011 terms.

I have a Gift Voucher that I have not yet redeemed. What will happen to me?

If you redeem your voucher on or before 3rd January 2011 then you will be subject to the current terms. If you redeem your voucher from 4th January 2011 onwards, then you will be subject to the 2011 terms.

Can I upgrade my Standard Merlin Annual Pass into a Premium Merlin Annual Pass?

Yes. From 4th January 2011, we’ll be launching an upgrade function where you can pay £30pp to turn the remaining time left on your Standard Merlin Annual Pass into a Premium Merlin Annual Pass. To do this, you’ll need to visit the attraction where your pass was originally issued (this will be printed on your pass). You can also take advantage of this upgrade fee if you are redeeming Tesco Clubcard tokens.

Will you be increasing the prices advertised due to the changes to VAT?

No. The prices shown on our website (www.merlinannualpass.co.uk) already account for the new levels of VAT. As you will note, our prices will be reducing!

Will you be adding anything new in 2011?

Yes! The following attractions will be added to the Standard and Premium Merlin Annual Passes in 2011:

Madame Tussauds Blackpool (from April) The Blackpool Dungeon (from September) Blackpool Tower attractions (from September)

- Jungle Jims

- Blackpool Tower Eye and 4D experience

- Blackpool Tower Circus

- Blackpool Tower Ballroom

You will be able to take advantage of these attractions, regardless of the type of pass you hold, or when you purchased your pass (as long as it’s valid of course).

I am not currently a Merlin Annual Passholder, although I was thinking about purchasing one. If I purchase one now online, but collect after 4th January 2011, what will happen to me?

You will be subject to the 2011 terms and conditions if you collect after 2011. You may therefore want to work out what’s best for you as most of our prices will be reducing from 2011, and we’ll also be launching a 10% online discount on all our new pass options, making it even cheaper.

I have another question which isn’t answered here…who should I talk to?

Please use our online contact us form by visiting the URL below. We will respond to all feedback within 48 hours, excluding weekends.
