Too many price hikes & date restrictions have stopped me renewing this year. Shame.

i agree, they have shot up in price with tesco deals too.2 years ago they were 31.50, then they were 37.50, now they are £50 plus its only 3x not 4x now.Passholder days have guests going along , and parking is no longer free. We went on a regular basis always spending money in the park, Our passes run out in 3 weeks time , so were ripping the **** out of them until then.

I don't blame you, I've been a merlin pass holder for the last four years but enough is enough. Ironically Merlin entertainment posted record profits in 2010 so it's not like they had to put prices up. It's purely a greed based decision. I will not be using them again, but then again, the uk parks do get a little tiresome after a while.

Isn't this deal supposed to be about the discounts which the card offers being available to all and sundry, rather than the cards themselves?

It is... but give us passholders a chance to moan and we'll grab it :)

Merlin alienated their 'loyal customers' with their t&c changes and crappy business decisions and I think they're gonna have a bit of a hit this year with the amount of people that won't bother to renew. Their loss though!

Coincidentally I am thinking of getting 4 individual passes thru Tesco clubcard points.... (or I was until I saw this thread!!). That would mean £200 in Clubcard vouchers (for myself and my three kids). We live in West Yorks, so the nearest attractions are Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land. In fact - must check that these are included in the Pass Attractions....

You can all tell I am a novice at this :)

I do know that if we did have cards we would try to use them to death to get our money's worth, but if Merlin are indeed "taking the mickey", then I might save the vouchers to get what can be up to 4x their value in some outlets.

ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!

(Mum going through extraordinarily long Easter School holidays that will span 4 weeks between 2 schools and running out of things to do with kids....!)
