I've been looking for shoes/boots with the Vibram Arctic Grip sole in the hope that they might offer a little bit of extra grip in icy conditions without having to resort to Yaktrax or similar. The boots are comfortable but I've no idea as yet if they stop someone slipping over :)
My experience with the thermal lined Merrell shoes is to order 1 size larger than you normally would and when I selected 5.5 for my partner, the site recommended the 6.5 for her and they fit well enough. When I ordered my Merrell's a few months ago, I ended up having to one size larger too.
Sizes in the black that are £60 are: 3.5, 4, 6.5, 8 and 8.5
In the Grey: 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 6, 6.5, 7, 8 and 8.5
Seems like a reasonable saving on the RRP and I just hope that the sole helps a little.
