That's Amazon US. Would you not get potentially hit for charges?
How much would shipping be?

In fact, they won't ship to UK......

Good price. Got conned on eBay with a "XBOX MESSENGER KIT" which in turn ended up to be a floppy USB keyboard. Never again.

good price - especially if you're currently in need of a headset

- its a great accessory :)

Great piece of kit can chat to your mates on msn messanger also makes it much easier to send texts over live.

I was going to get one of these before I realised that you can use a USB keyboard for exactly the same thing.

So I just plugged an old spare one in. Tempted to get a small (laptop style) wireless one to replace it.

Got one of these back in April on game.co.uk for £15 when bought with any other item so I also bought a dvd wrap costing £1. Think that offer has ended though,

Are these actually useful for £20

I think so - the advantage of this over a USB keyboard is that you don't need to put the controller down to switch between them nor do you need to switch application. If you're playing a game you can just hit the MSN button which pops up a little text window, type in your text then get back to your game. With the keyboard as far as I'm aware you have to open your Guide and go to the chat window then close it all to return to the game which is quite clumsy as well as needing to switch between the controller and the keyboard. I wrote my thoughts up here:

Unfortunately due to the new forum format the pictures don't show but they are still available.

Not that amazing a price though, I paid 20 quid for mine when it was released and it's still that price online:

It depends, a USB keyboard will do the same job.
Its useful if you type messages often and need it attached to your controller I guess.

its great if you dont want a keyboard lying around - it just snaps onto the bottom of the controller & you dont even notice it after a while :)

& its very easy to type fast with the keys as they are nice & close together :)

its a great little accessory - cant message without it anymore - the onscreen keyboard just cant cut it.

As far as I'm aware the USB keyboard does not allow you to access the onscreen version of MSN only the one within the guide - is there a shortcut which can do this otherwise it takes a chunk out of the usability of the USB keyboard.

Not at that price alas :-(
The wireLESS headset itself is around the £20+ pricemark

The chatpad takes up the headset port and the on its underside is different so they've had to supply a headset with a different connector and slightly different design with an inline volume control rather than at the base.

If you bought your copy of GTA IV from HMV then check the voucher booklet that came with it because there was a tenner off the messenger kit and its 24.99 in HMV so i got mine for 14.99 couple of months ago.
#22
very useful, had one myself for quite some time now, doesnt get unclipped from the controller as thats its home.

Good price, not voting though as it has been £20 from any blockbuster video store since release! Why they chose to sell it at that I dont know but they do and have been.

these are really good makes it so much easy to type (even works within games) plus it lets you use a better version of msn on your xbox
