We had same problem, this is caused by the gaps between skirting board and bed,
we stuffed the end nearest wall and back nearest wall with old pillows and it stopped this from creaking any more and made it more stable too.

Silly question, but can you sit up in any of these types of beds? We're thinking of refurb'ing our 7yo son's room, and would like something similar to this. However, all the places we've looked, the top bunk seems very close to the ceiling, in a 'normal' house. Not actually done measurements, but I would guess that it would not be possible to sit up in them?

I wondered about that, with the high sleepers Ive been looking at the frame height is around 186cm, my ceiling is 240cm but the mattress is always lower than the frame height by appx 15cm this would leave about 70 cm, not a lot but with a bit of judicious roll play (my wife and I holding a board at that hight above her existing bed) :whistling: we think it is enough to do, but I doubt sitting up will be an option. Not so much of a problem with us as we plan to put a chair under for her, but wouldn't do for everyone!

Be warned if you are looking about though, Ikea's ones were 205cm high!:? Not sure if anyone would have high enough ceilings for them!

Still can't add this to basket....

Does anyone know if this a childrens bunk bed?

or if it is a standard size bunk bed?

Does it come with a futon?

DOES NOT COME WITH FUTON MATTRESS!!!! Ordered this then realised it didn't state whether it cme with futon mattress. Emailed Tesco twice but after 2 replies still couldn't tell me if it did or not. Their best effort was 'if it doesn't then phone us and we will arrange to get it returned'. Poor advertising on Tesco's behalf but still cheaper than buying the equivalent from other stores :x
