Concluding Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid saga, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a battle-scarred future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries. This devastated world is seen through the battle-weary eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East and South America. As such, the epic end to Snake's story offers ground-breaking combat elements, a refined control system that offers unprecedented control over the aged hero, and the tying up of key plot lines and loose ends.

Good deal, but hopefully this means it will be back in stock at Gamestation soon. Heat Added.

Great game. Would definitely recommend. Heat added.

Personally I feel this game is overrated, I found it slow going and quirky at times, nevertheless a good price.

Great game! 11+hour story (if not more) and online is still active. Bought this for £7 from CEX due to no cover.

Amazing game but I wouldn't say it's hot at this price. I bought a used copy for 6 pound at graingergames 2 months ago.

I don't have a PS3, but this will make a good present.

It's really odd, this game is only of interest to people that have followed the rest of the series really, how many people would have waited this long to play it...

Personally, I only got a PS3 in the last year and list the PS1/2 MGS games as one of my favourite series. I narrowly missed the £4.99 gamestation deal and have been waiting on that one to return (because it's a great price and I've got stacks of loyalty points that I want to add towards Arkham City).

Plus - in answer to your question - I think people tend to replay these games, making a limited number available preowned and causing the price for them to be a bit steep (it's £15 preowned on the highstreet). I certainly whip out my disc copy of the PS1 game once in a while and when I had a PS2 I played 2 multiple times.

But then it could all be bull, because most 1st party PS3 titles have relatively steep second hand prices. :D

Took me double that time to finish it!! The cutscenes last longer than 11 hours. Great game, took me a while to get into it but it is excellent. If you haven't played any of the MGS games before, I would recommend definitely playing MGS1 first before this.
