after watching the new metal gear games footage im going to have to buy this... what order do you play the games in ?

The order that people would have been able to play them originally was MGS 2, MGS 3, Peace Walker. It's probably the way you should play them as playing them in game time chronological order is like watching the Star Wars movies starting at Episode 1 and watching Star Wars fourth. Don't forget that Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake are on the disc as well so there's 5 games.
