Development powerhouse, Kojima Productions, continues forth the ‘METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience’ with the latest chapter, METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Phantom Pain. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain, will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions.

Taking place nine years after the events of MGSV: Ground Zeroes and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakes from a near decade-long coma. The game resumes the story in 1984, with the Cold War still as the backdrop, which continues to shape a global crisis. Snake’s journey takes him into a world where he is driven by a need for revenge and the pursuit of a shadow group, XOF.

Almost glad it's out of stock near me, my shelf of shame is full with all these game deals lately. Never gonna play them all.
Heat added though! And would have bought at that price lol

Thanks, just ordered for collection at Notts. I must stop buying stocking fillers for Hubbie, it's costing me a fortune X)

I bought this because "it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" brilliant price and an amazing game.

Nice, excellent game for this price. Multiplayer is fun too, well worth the tenner entry.

I was in Asda in Hartlepool yesterday and they had MGS V for PS4 and Xbox One for this price (£9.99) and one copy of it for the PS3 for £4.99. Dunno if any hartlepoolians on HUKD needs a copy.

A mate was telling me that some sort of PvP and base management is forced on the player even when playing through the main story. Is this true? It put me off immediately.

Some base management is required but PvP isn't.
It's actually more fun than it sounds.

Can be played without internet connection, you have to expand your base (quite basic) but I don't remember any other players been involved.

The Base management stuff did annoy me, great game otherwise.

The base management stuff is fun! Building a better base leads to a better army, better extraction equipment, better weaponry & more GMP (Gross Military Product) which your army will earn for you when you send them on missions. And bonus, you actually get to physically see the fruits of your labour as more base platforms & structures are constructed. Yes, it's very RPG but layered and joyous.
