Great album don't often find "Metallica" on offer

Saw them yesterday. Average at best.

That's a bit harsh, but it is not helped that the once-might Hetfield's voice has gone :-(
This cd is great though.

Odd, I saw them in Sheffield a while ago and they were as heavy as ever.

Good find from the OP.

A great album but James 'the cowardly lion' Hetfield now sounds like Bing Crosby compared to his Ride The Lightning vocals :?

Good price though.

So did I, could not agree less :p

When was the last time you heard Dyers Eve live?

Merely my opinion. I judge a band on their performance on the evening. They might be "mighty" but their performance on the night was average at best.

I was lucky and picked this up for £2 in Morrisons (Pendeford, Wolverhampton) last week, they still had 2 or 3 copies left too in a bin by the checkouts.

...And Justice For All? Ruined by Hetfield and Ulrichs attempts at "Production" - difficult to listen to because of their (and they admit) poor efforts to produce their own work. Fortunately they stuck to the day job ever since...

Saw them three times in Dublin at the RDS 2003,4,6 and never a bad show. Some odd support though - Darkness in 2003, Lost Prophets 2004 and Slipknot one year!!! Deffo a return to form with this though - even the Telegraph suggested it'll probably be the Hard Rock/Metal album of the decade. Now get back in the studio and give us some more!!!!!

got this for 29p from amazon bodge :p but still hot!

Some will say slipknot are appropriate support but they just crack me up!!!

I saw them in Sheffield too. And at Leeds Fest. They are an unbelievable live act..

Saw 'em at the O2 - completely loved it. Was right at the front and rates as one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

And if you haven't got this album yet - get it, 'tis their best since Justice...

Funnily enough its James' birthday today

This album was really poorly mastered, the clipping is terrible.

Have a quick search for the eetfunk remaster after you've bought the cd and you'll know what I mean

Do people ever stop moaning on here?

Its a album by one of the best rock bands ever to exist, for under a fiver. Yes I am a Metallica fan I have seen them live this year (O2 Arena) and I thought they were great. I also heard they were absolutely amazing Sunday but as the story goes, its what you make of it and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Seriously though, this is a good deal and if you don't like it why bother positng?

Saw Slipknot (and, strangely, LostProfits (sic)) support 'Tallica at a gig in Paris a few years back. They were interesting.

Right... Because the way to make a properly recorded album better because of 'issues' arising from record company demands is for a complete rank amateur to think he can remix it properly using tracks from a video game...

I'm sure if 'Tallica wanted us to hear 'eetfunk's version, they'd have hired eetfunk to mix and master the recording.
