Cheapest by a few quid, plus quidco! Watched it round a mates, was blown away by the DTS soundtrack and picture quality and just had to buy it! One of the all time greats :)

Francais Pour Une Nuit is an electrifying full length live DVD. The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse -that is, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo- ride into Nimes and make their entrance into the Coliseum, through the gladiator's tunnel, before performing an explosive set of Metallica music. Fans can also look forward to some exclusive backstage footage.
Francais Pour Une Nuit is unique in that not only was it filmed in France, but ALL aspects of the project are French, other than the band themselves, of course! The concert was filmed, recorded, and edited with French camera and recording crews; the artwork was created by a French design team (including a one-of-a-kind special package); even credits are in French.

The band took their mammoth 'World Magnetic' tour on the road last year, which broke the record for the biggest attendance at London's 02 Arena last September, and broke it again in March 2009. Metallica returned to the UK in August for a triumphant headline slot at the Sonisphere Festival.

Including 2 hours of the show, 37 minute interview of the band, 5 videos from the audience/16 page booklet, Francais Pour Une Nuit i sthe ultimate Metallica live experience!

No sync issues on my copy whatsoever.

No sync problems here either, this is playing the DTS HD Master soundtrack vis HDMI through a Sony STR-DG820 using a Sony BDP-S350 player.
Out of interest are you using Scart or HDMI, i am pretty sure you should be able to play the DTS soundtrack over HDMI to your tv/monitor.
This is a true classic performance, perfect picture and sound the next best thing to being there! :)

Great deal; Lars Ulrich must be in need of another few million to add to his art collection. Let's help the poor soul out.

Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire, Gimme that what I desire...........

The sync is fine on mine.

It's annoying when the camera on the track in front of the stage shudders when the bass drum is hit...

Only happens a few times though.

Personally guys... I wouldnt bother with this show, get the Mexican one... sooo much better! The filming of this one is shoddy as hell, yet the Mexican version has been more professionally done and the whole thing has so much more energy! This is a good deal though, but I'd personally save my cash!

Yes (assuming it's the same one). CD-Wow £6.99 and free P&P. DVD though - not Blu-Ray. I'm not sure whether this one's available on Blu-Ray (I stand to be corrected though).

There is a UK seller, but it costs 34 squid :?

Plus its a Region 1 blu ray, so you'd need a multi region player.

I play it through my ps3, it's the only disc I've ever found sync problems with, and there's lots of forums quoting the same thing. Still, it looks and sounds amazing.....just not quite at the same time :p

At the start of All Nightmare Long seems to look the worst to me, sync wise, but who gives a crap when your headbanging at 4am after 10 pints :p

Received this the other day and just watching it for the first time today. Playing it through my Onkyo receiver and Whafedale Diamond 9.1 speaker package... it's so quiet! I have had to turn it up to max to get "good" volume while I tidy the same room it's playing in. Gona have to remember to turn it right back down before I switch back to TV and blow my speakers!

I see straight off the shake of the panning stage camera with the bass. I don't really sit and watch these things though, the music plays while I do other things and the video is like a screensaver on my plasma :p

Great setlist, clear sound and good picture overall though
