I have this and personally I didn't really enjoy it. To me it's a poor version of wolfenstein. I know it's older, last gen blah blah blah. But anyone who hasn't got either. For the same price, I'd get wolfenstein. Now for the price, seems good. So heat for that. Just my personal opinion peeps that may help some newcomers think a bit more before purchasing.

£29.99 on xbox for both metro games or £15.99 each.

If you live Oxfordshire area Sainsburys Bicester had 4 left today after I brought 1 and Oxford store on the Heyford Hill roundabout has 5 left apparently. None in Kidlington.

Brilliant price, recommended collection of shooters. I'm hoping to start Last Light asap, but enjoyed 2033 (though I had to change difficulty from hardish one to normal as was becoming semi impossible at times!)

The only thing in common between Metro & Wolfenstein, is this - they are both fps. That is where the comparison should end. Different tone, feel & art style.

I played Wolfenstein on PC & am playing Metro on PS4 at the moment. Just finished 2033 & about an hour into Last Light.

It is a suffocating post-nuclear-apocalypse horror story with a a gritty & detailed game engine & fairly robust shooting mechanics. If you push the difficulty, it's basically a really challenging survival horror & you have to be really careful with ammo & supplies.

It is unfair to call this "last gen" - as you needed a beefy PC to really get the most out of the game & it's only perhaps in the past 2 years that the average PC user will have upgraded & can push the engine to the sweet spot ;)

I ran this on my rig about 1 1 /2 years ago and had issues with the lighting model, so its great to finally get a version that runs so well, at high detail & without too many niggles & technical issues. 2033 has a few minor bugs & glitches & when compared to Last Light, it isn't quite as polished, but still incredibly good fun in a rather depressing & dreary sort of way.

You'll get your monies worth at this price point. I managed to bag the game(s) for £13 about two weeks ago.

Never the less - have some heat.

Apologies zsasz24 & kev3, posts removed as that particular seller is currently suspended from HUKD.

bought this a while ago on PS4 for around £15, had a play yesterday, wasn't overly impressed.

There is a guy who joins you called hunter, who is suited up heavily, he's supposedly a ranger and lives by the codex: "If it's hostile, you kill it"...... but sadly he couldn't hit a barn door with a cows backside, and is about as much use as a cardboard fire exit....

I can't say I've been able to get into this either. I wouldn't recommend it from playing some of the early stages.

You walk around an admittedly great location listening to some dodgy Russian moan on and kill three beast things. Cut screen. Subway map loading screen with more Russian reading a diary. It's that every five minutes over and over again.

Wasn't impressed with these games. Nice to look at but clunky and boring to play.

Tomb Raider was miles better as a cheap HD remake.

I've had this a while now. I paid £20ish. Worth the money at this price. I'd give it 7 out of 10. Not a patch on Wolfenstien.
#22
you're all mad saying you wouldn't recommend these games

both are awesome

What has tomb raider got to do with this?

That's kind of like saying, "World of Warcraft is okay but Virtua Tennis is better".
