Lowest ever price as far as I can see and excellent reviews. Nice illuminated touchscreen on the back and Metz is a well regarded brand. Good alternative to Canon's 430 EX? Next lowest price is £179 at Castle Cameras. Just ordered one, not sure how many left as it only lets me put three in my basket. Cheaper than used prices on eBay!

I ordered this yesterday when I received a reply from Metz informing me that it fully supports the Canon EOS 80D, with focus beam support, TTL and HSS etc etc.

We shall see.

Metz were a good brand back in the day when their products were all made in Germany. Now they are just resellers for Chinese made goods. Cold as the Yongnuo flashguns are far better value.

The version they make for trolls is made in China. Mine arrived today clearly marked "made in Germany" on the box and moulded into the plastic.

Amazon won't refund me the difference. They want me to reorder and send it back!

They have just refunded me £10 back in credit, appeared within minutes on my Prime account. I have spent it already on a Canon remote lol

How did you manage that? No joy here.

Perhaps because the price drop occurred before they even dispatched it for me....? I noticed the first price drop when mine was preparing for dispatch and asked if they could amend the price. They noted that request on their system and then refunded me once dispatched.

Gone up now to £176, doubt I'll ring them about that...!
At least the focus beam seems to work.
