I know! Its no wonder Thriller sales stand at 104 million worldwide!

I have to say though, even though I own all of these album already, I would like to have this neat little box-set so I have ordered. Can't complain for a tenner.

It's got all of his major albums including the massively underrated Invincible, that track with Carlos Santana called 'Whatever Happens' is a belter, should have been released as a single.

Is this the Sony collection? I think there's a posting on this website (somewhere) with a link to the product at Zavvi for less.

Hmm I'm tempted. Have the songs on various cassette tapes but not the actual albums.

I agree; I love that song. Invincible was never going to be adored by the critics, as it was hyped to within an inch of its life, millions were spent producing it and it took him roughly 4 years to release it; like most of his albums. There are several amazing songs on Invincible and it's definitely worth buying. It's just a pity that the song Xscape, a song recorded during the Invincible recoding sessions, wasn't included on the album since it would have been one of the best, if not the best, songs on the album and would've made a great single.

Blood On The Dance Floor should be on here in place of Invincible IMHO.

No way was "invincible" hyped. Sony wanted the album to flop big time,so didn't bother promoting the album at all. Even tho it sold millions, people considered it to be a flop compared to say "Thriller". I think "Invincible" was his best album after OTW.
BOTDF(with acception to "Is it scary" and "morphine") was a pretty dire album.

I wasn't referring to Sony's promotion, or lack thereof, but the "hype" from fans, news outlets etc. Given that it was the 1st Michael Jackson album in approx. 4 years, since the mediocre BOTD, people were bound to be bursting with anticipation.

i'd say aswell as, may as well do the box set thing properly and either do all the albums, or be less lazy & make it a big best of / rarities / live set.

Blood On The Dance Floor was more of a remix album, released very much against MJ's wishes. Still, it has a few corkers on there, like Morphine & Is It Scary. Top Tunes!
