Principally recorded at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles, California.
The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist the 'dada dada da da da') or the 'whoo whoo' of 'Billie Jean'. It's all too good.

In the spotlight since the age of four, Michael Jackson rose to fame as the lead vocalist for the Jackson Five. In the late 1970s, Jackson embarked on a solo career as a young adult with the Quincy Jones-produced OFF THE WALL. With one hit album under his belt, Jackson proceeded to bring R&B to a whole new audience with his massive THRILLER release--one of the top-selling pop albums of all time--and his innovative videos, not only broke an unspoken colour barrier, but began to dominate the newly founded MTV network. Although his personal life would become the ultimate fodder for the tabloids, the self-proclaimed "King of Pop" remained one of the most successful and influential recording stars worldwide until his sudden death in 2009 at 50.

Just ordered. Guiness World Records lists this as the biggest selling album of all time with 104 million copies sold worldwide!

The nearest rival? You guessed it, Michael Jackson: Bad [1987], with 52 million copies sold worldwide!

To me, 'Billie Jean' is the most timeless classic pop/dance song ever, I just HAVE to bust out a few dance 'moves' of my own when this comes on in the clubs!

Michael Jackson, I salute you sir.

What a uniquely talented legend, sorely missed.
