His last great album.

Sadly, a complete myth that is purpetuated both by the mainstream media and by people who buy it and subsequently spout it.

Bad features the way you make me feel, man in the mirror, smooth criminal, dirty diana, leave me alone, speed demon etc which are all absolute classics and it is a tremendous album.

Dangerous is, in my opinion even better with Jam, In The Closet, Who Is It, Given in to Me and black or White.

History is a superb album that people seem to have forgotten about. Scream, Stranger In Moscow, They don't Care About Us. Earth Song

His last solo Album, Invincible is also horribly underrated. The album is actually pretty bloated and self indulgent-it is too long and a few of the tracks are not very strong however its high points- you rock my world, butterflies, unbreakable, whatever happens are again legitimate classics.

People who know MJ's music are used to people dismissing his later work when they havent reaally heard it in any great depth-it's par for the course. However It's a while since I've seen somebody be so ignorant as to dismiss his work beyond Thriller as not being great.

+1, Think Dangerous is my favourite but also think Invincible was cruelly overylooked!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

It's not a myth, it's an opinion of the majority and the number of 'people who know MJ's music' may be higher than you think, given the fact that he's the most famous recording artist since Elvis.

How do you define 'legitimate classic'? Does it mean, "I'm a Michael Jackson sycophant and tonight Matthew, I'm going to be precious about the following tracks."?

Pompous nonsense.

Some of Michael Jackson's best work was made in the 1990's. (Black or White, You Are Not Alone, Earth Song, Scream, They Don't Care About Us, Remember The Time, Dangerous, Jam.

If only todays 'artists' took a leaf out of his book. I've lost count of how many people have cited him a their main influence.

Worldwide pre-orders for the new posthumous 'Michael' CD have outsold Take That's 'Progress' by nearly 3-1!

Discredit MJ all you want, a lot of people do (it seems to be the 'in thing').

Just remember who STILL has the BIGGEST selling album of ALL TIME. Who sold over 1 million tickets for 50 nights at the O2 arena at age 50! Who was vindicated of 14 counts of child molestation/kidnapping in a US court of law. Who still outsells ALL of todays 'artists' even though he sadly passed away in 2009.

Michael Jackson set a standard which will NEVER be surpassed. He deserves all the accolades & admiration he can get.

Yeah and OJ Simpson got off scott free after murdering his wife.
The beauty of the American justice system ... more famous and rich you are .... Less chance of being held to your crimes.

Who eslse recently ... oh yeah Paris Hiton for coke ... a couple of days inside because she was getting stressed... That alco Lynsey Lohan for multiple drink driving ... let off.
Halle Berry, for hitting someone while drunk and leaving the scene ... let off.

Any more?
Bloke was a Jesus juice pushing freak who in his spare time liked to hang toddlers off multi story high balcony's.... Only his fame got him off.
