I know it's not a baby seat. If you compare it to http://tinyurl.com/9gpzby you can see the difference in side protection. There were also a couple of Graco ones which were slated by Which magazine for similar reasons.

they all have to pass rigorous safety standards so i cant see it being that bad, some people just like to think they're better than everyone else by paying more, good deal op

The safety standard is not rigorous tho, you may think it is but it isn't I'm afraid

They dint do side impact tests and they crash at low speeds, there is a vast difference between seats some only scrape through the tests.

By the time you find out you have a poor seat it may be too late, something i wouldn't wish on anyone.

Everyone should look at the Which tests, they crash at higher speeds and use side impact and use the NCAP standards to reproduce what would happen in a real crash.
