I got this yesterday in my local Tesco Superstore in Plymouth. It is being advertised online at £39.47 but it is being advertised in the larger superstores for only £11.97. It is a clearance item and can be located within the glass counter next to the cigarettes (yuck!). Go grab yourself a bargain. If they aren't advertised in store, ask a member of staff to go check their availability.

I also forgot to add that this comes with a free 2 years warranty and supports both WPA & WEP security encryption. Remember, MicraDigital is a subsidary of Belkin so this isn't exactly a cheap make either. Maybe I should have purchased more than one in case anyone else wanted one on here. Sorry!

Just bought one from York (CM), was last on shelf but they also had lots of ADSL versions market at £49 (I wonder if they will be cheap soon...). Many thanks OP.

No reason why it wouldn't work with Vista as they use a web interface.

Is it the same as in the Tesco picture, or is it the same as the one on the Micradigital website -
http://www.micradigital.com/Product.aspx?id=216017

The reason I ask is it has virtually the same model number as the Belkin router - F5D7230

Hi,

what Plymouth store did you find these in, also do they have many left?

thanks

I have this and paid £55, yes it was about 2 years ago. But I still have it, and have had no problems with it so far.

Also it is Belkin as the number for support in the box is Belkin's number.

none in glasgow store :0(

Actually it lookslike neither of these! It is closer to the white model shown on the Tesco Direct website itself. Mine is pure white, stands up straight (comes with small stand), and is very compact. Cannot fault it really.

says 5 year warranty on there site

Nope, only 2 year warranty, but thats good considering you are only spending £11.97!

Works fine and is ideal for Virgin (Telewest) & NTL etc.

Hi,

what Plymouth store did you find these in, also do they have many left?

thanks

Lee Mill, Plymouth. As of yesterday afternoon they still had some yes. Try calling them first.

Just a quick word of warning here, it looks as if these are for cable services only, as stated above, and are not therefore suitable for use with 'standard' ADSL broadband services, such as BT, TalkTalk etc.

Always worth checking before buying any new router.

Sorry to those who knew that anyway, but there might be some who don't!

Yes its NOT an ADSL router. Its a cable router, so if your are getting Virgin broadband or NTL for example then this will be perfect, otherwise I would check with your broadband supplier as to whether this is suitable or not first.

I bought one of these last week, when the storms blew up my linksys cable router. I replaced it with a netgear as it kept dropping the internet link and needed a reboot several times a day, but it is currently doing sterling work as a wireless access point behind a BT voyager adsl router and hasn't dropped out once.
#14
Shame its not ADSL my router hates multiple connections.

Went into two Tescos stores in Gloucester and couldnt find them :( Was in a bit of a rush so couldnt ask. Off to cheltenham this afternoon so will drop in there and have a look too! This looks like an ace deal tho so cheers OP!

Edit: None in cheltneham either :( Seems like this only applies to some of the bigger stores as mentioned. poop!

just bought one from tesco, Top Valley, Nottm. Full price on shelf but reduced at checkout, they had 5 left:thumbsup:
#17
non in south manchester...... wythenshawe and altrincham. said they dont stock them only the adsl one
#18
Went to Tesco's in Gt Yarmouth, they had some but £40 odd on the shelf. Can anyone confirm the price drop when you take them to the till?
#19
spears, just take one to the customer service or any till and ask them to scan it for a price check, thats what i did & i grabbed myself a bargain :-D
#20
I went to at least 6 stores yesterday and not one of them had them them in.
Totally gutted!

I'll end up buying one from ebay now from some cheeky git who bought way too many, and denied the rest of us a chance.
#21
I'd guess these are only going to be sold in cable ready towns. The Tesco's where I got mine had lots of the ADSL ones on the 'clearance' shelf but at normal price, but I reckon they will be reduced soon so worth keeping an eye out...

Just to confirm its a different packaging to Belkins F5D7230 but is 100% identical internally from what I can gather (I've had both..) Seems to work pretty well, once again thanks to OP
