First item posted so be nice to me!!! (we all say that, don't we!)

Advanced MP3 Players are showing this in their Clearance section, with a discount of £50, HOWEVER they are listed as 'Grade B' but the meaning of this is fully disclosed (possible cosmetic damage to the packaging at most, from what I can tell).

Might be worth a punt as either a kid's 'first' scalextric or for your bunch of drunken mates at Christmas!!

I have also noticed some other good deals in their Clearance section, like a half price iRiver, worth checking out even if Scalextric isn't your thing.

"Small size big fun! Don't let the size of this Scalextric set fool you, it's still as fun as the full sized versions (perhaps even more so...)

Stunning action is guaranteed with over 12 feet of track and 3 Nissan 350Z racing cars ready to do battle. The small scale of the system means that you can layout complicated tracks without having to move furniture and using up all the floor space! The ergonomic handsets now feature digital throttle control for precise racing, gone are the days of only having two speeds to use, full on and off! The Scalextric Supercar Showdown offers huge fun on a small 1:64th scale. - complex and interesting tracks without needing huge amounts of floorspace.

Over 12' of Micro Scalextric Track
3 x Nissan 350Z Race cars
1:64 scale"

Or here (http://goldstarstockists.net/live/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/26972) for the same price + £1.95 delivery.

Must admit that I have to doubt the original price of £80 as most of these sets run from £35 to £50.

Yes i'm always wary of the 'original' price too, although cheapest comparable Scalextric set I can find at a glance is £40 at Argos, so I thought it was worth a post anyway.

I bought this for £20 from here a few weeks ago. Back then it did not mention that it was grade 'B' stock so assumed it was new (although was suspicious of the low price)
One received it realised it was second hand. Tatty packaging, all cables untied and thrown in the box, brushes on the cars worn out, one car broken plastic part which keeps it on the track.

To be fair to Advanced MP3 they did offer to collect and give refund, but actually decided what was there was probably worth £20 for spares and extra track, so kept it and bought another one from Argos as the present.

So just be warned about what the condition could be and also the price has gone up £10 in the last few weeks.

EDIT: Also just noticed the speaker offer on the page for half price was actually given free when I ordreed mine, so that's gone up too. Don't know how good they are yet (probably not great) but needed a small set for my daughter so got those too at least.
