Sorry but got to vote this only warm because:
Wirefree? Not realy you still have to drill a hole for the cameras transformer to feed through, also the leads on the power supply are often quite short compared to a wired system meaning that wherever you are mounting this externally you need to have a power socket in a corresponding position inside otherwise tou will end up with trailing extension cables.

However, these can make great baby monitors if you hook the receiver up to a small spare tv (for my 5" one i had to buy an adapter to convert scart to phono type connectors).

Very true, thats the one downside about these but I am actually quite thankful that they are not battery powered tho, could you imagine how many times you would have to keep changing the batterys!:giggle:

I think the main bonus of this system is the fact that you can have the camera up to 100 meters away from the tv (or rather the receiver) and still get a signal with the use of no wires apart from the power ones, which is quite good!
I had one of the old micromark systems that had a 50 or 100metre cable between the camera and tv. - You could not make the cable shorter, I only need about 10m so the rest was just bundled behind the tv in an ugly mess, so from my point of view, a nice cheap system like this which is almost wire free is perfect. I think they could have improved on the pathetic 1metre power cord for the camera, that is a little silly.:-D

i know its ebay, but i bought a weatherproof wireless cctv camera with infrared night vision for £26 delivered brand new. gets good feedback reviews and can be battery powered if required. just waiting for it to be delivered.
i've not seen this micromark cctv working but saw someone who had it mounted to the front of their.house and it just looked......well........stupid. this unit is really ugly and just looked daft when fitted with all the wires trailing.

Surely these are not weatherproofed for outdoor use:whistling:

weatherproof, waterproof i get confused. this micromark one is indoors only which imho isnt much good for home use. can use mine outdoors at least! just hope it works!

just be careful what you may see if using one of these cameras

i caught my ex wife cheating on my wireless camera

And don’t forget anybody else with the same system can tune in to your camera & see what you see

Just bought one of these and was assured they are ideal for outdoors i.e. garden, back door, shed or driveway! The connection from the camera via the jack plug is about 5 metres and to be honest perfect for installing in all the places we have tried to get a view of our car. The wireless connection works really well from our top floor to the bottom (3storeys).
Highly recommend this system! But not the B&Q staff who had to search the whole store room as they didn't even know they stocked such an item!!
