do they work as well as proper ones? and i am assuming the speed depends on the micro sd cards used?
#2
yes if u use a fast micro sd then you will get fast speeds if you plan on playing downloaded games on your psp then I'd recommend a class 4 Micro SD otherwise a few games will run slowly or have longer load times.
#3
i bought this one http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16489 for about £3 got 2 x 8gig micro sd card in it and it works fine. so this will do the job perfect.

i use 2 class4, 8 gigs and the speed is fine.

Looks like a good solution if you need it but the better way would to buy only cameras or gadgets which work with the more popular and cheaper sd cards.

sort of stuck if you own a PSP, PSP 2000 or PSP 3000 as its pretty hard to find an alternative handheld if you have a big collection of UMD`s. its either the 2 above solutions or get ripped off for a Memory Stick Duo.

Thanks, I didn't realize these exist. just ordered one (PayPal cost £1.31)

Nice one, heat added. As per previous post, did not realise they existed!!

I ordered a bluetooth off them ages ago, still no sign of it

As someone else pointed out.... PSP has no other option  I have one of these for my sons PSP and its excellent, can pick up MicroSD for pence compared to "proper" MSProduo sticks.

Normally I would totally agree with you, but as previously mentioned the PSP is stuck with overpriced cards. This device does a fantastic job to bring the PSP back in line with other devices that use cheaper SD or micro SD cards.

I've got one of these running with two 8Gb cards, and it's fine. I don't think the SD cards are terribly quick, but I still see performance that is perfectly usable. The most important thing is that it is reliable, which is not exactly guaranteed from other cheap electrical goods. I've not had it fail at all touch wood.

My xbox hard drive case arrived when there was a supposed Hong Kong postal issue going on, and I have a currently outstanding order with them that I am expecting probably next week? So about normal for DX really?

Copystuff, you really ought to have raised a paypal dispute before now. They will keep fobbing you off with 'wait a bit longer', until you're out of time to dispute, then they will ignore you.

Ditto, I've got one, using an 8gb SDHC, and it works perfectly. However, I do recommend going for the twin slot for the extra £1 or so, as bigger is always better, and I'm constantly juggling the space on my 8gb, and wished I had 16gb!
#17
Does this work on sony camcorders????

Actually, I've just noticed this is the one slot version! I did actually go for the two slot version, so perhaps I ought to read the description before offering a review! :whistling:

Thats what I was about to ask.

When I previously had fakes off ebay which worked just like the real ones, but obviously didn't have magicgate, the PSP store wouldn't recognise it, and a game refused to save on them (I think it was Lego Batman). Also, I doubt it really affects anyone anymore, but they wouldn't work with ATRAC.

Has anyone tried using these on the PSP store?

I doubt it cos most people using these won't have a legit PSP, which I think you need to access the PSP store cos of the requirement for higher firmware?

Not trying to be high and mighty but I put my PSP back to stock 6.00 cos I can't be arsed with faffing about, and the only games I'm likely to play (GTA series and Gran Turismo) I own legitimately. Now have a 2GB sandisk for quicker loading for Gran Turismo and saving games.

Legit M2 4GB cards can be had for quite cheap and offer a good alternative if you're still going down the piracy route.

I see that these are from Hong Kong. Are they a reliable company.

Jesus I wish I hadn't done all the firmware upgraded in a giddy pixie rush when I got my PSP.
I'm on version 6.2 - anyone know how I can go back down to get it homebrewed?

Might try one of these anyway. 16gb pro duo is £50. 2 x 8gb micro-SD cards is more like half that.

Depends on the type of PSP - 1000, 2000, 3000 as to what you can do.

Personally I wouldn't bother, there's only so many times you want to play super mario world on a different console/handheld/pc.

It's a 3000.
It's not just the cross-console games thing that you get though is it? Downloaded games and can play more movie formats I thought? The last one is the biggest draw for me....I spend far too much time converting films to MP4 format so I can watch them on the psp on the train.

As far as I know the 3000 can't be done. I'm probably very wrong though.

However, in my opinion at least, there's not even anything worth pirating on the console mate, hence me going legit. Ports of Need for Speed were utter *****, if you're interested in playing old PSX games yet again then fair enough the PS1 emulation is spot on if you can be arsed to faff with POPSloader (which I hear the GEN team has broken). Personally there wasn't anything else that grabbed my attention for more than 10 minutes - Crush got a good write up but just didn't feel inclined to play it.

Used to have about 20 games when on custom firmware, none of which got played. Fair enough I rarely go on it anymore but I reckon i value it more because i've paid money for the games. Gran Turismo PSP is OK (the only reason i bought the damned thing 4 years ago), the GTA games are fab, and pro evo on the go is nice too. I'm going to re-purchase a newer version of football manager and then I reckon that'll be be done.

For watching films though it's still a good device, just sold the missus' PSP but we've still got a stack of UMD films she got cheap so all's good there.

I understand where you're coming from. It's the whole cheapening thing.

I've been playing Jeanne D'Arc and it's excellent.

I came back to rep the OP - this must be my favourite deal ever (well after the o2/iphone £100 cashback lol)

I had no idea such an adapter existed, top stuff OP!
