How come people are still buying wired mouses?
2 weeks ago I bought 2 lots of the Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse sets from the seller below on Amazon. It says refurbished but apart from a couple of dents in the box it was all brand new. £9.99 plus postage.

Lots of reasons:

-increased cost
-Inconvenience of replacing batteries
-increased weight for holding batteries
-increased latency of wireless connection

In a typical PC environment you're sat at a desk with the PC base unit sat either on or under the desktop. As the mouse & keyboard are never further than a USB cable's length from the base unit, there simpy isn't a need for wireless.
It's a solution for a problem that for the majority of users simply doesn't exist.

I prefer wired one. dnt know Y.

I prefer wired too... our wireless ones are a pain. "Sync damit... sync" springs to mind and the battert issue, not forgetting the wireless keyboard issues trying to get into the bios (as no drivers have loaded). :D

Ordered 2 and pleased :)

Can anyone comment on whether these make a clicking noise as you scroll the mouse wheel, or if they are silent? Cheers.
