i bought alien hominid hd last night for 400 points with my new set of points :) it was half price so thought why not.
Im sure a few things will catch my eye in the next few months on the marketplace, so always good to have points lying about, far cheper than buying on xbox.com

WHSmith is cheaper. Whats that you say? Student discount? Not everybody is a student, you know?

Oh, just to clarify - downloads are tied to the console they are originally downloaded on. You can also download anything you've bought onto other consoles provided you are logged into xbox live under the same live account that it was originally downloaded by. However on those additional consoles you can only play the downloaded content when logged into xbox live under the same account they were downloaded by.

Or something like that

Got this in HMV at Liverpool One during lunchtime for myself and a work buddy.

This isnt entirely true, you can transfer your licence to another xbox. Can only do it once every 12 months.

Yes, it is entirely true, as we were discussing the day to day usage of the content, not the transferring of it for if you were completely replacing your console. Even then, the licenses are still tied to your console, you've just swapped them to being tied to a different console.

Stop trying to be a smart ****, it doesnt suit you.

Are you blind or plain ignorant. Read the website. If you transfer your licence over they will be tied to your new console. Offline and online. Its all about DRM issues and that link i posted fixes this.

Vivafathom -
A) This discussion is about the day to day usage of xbox live content. You're trying to completely pointlessly take it out of the day to day context for no other reason than trying to win e-points.

B) As such, your point is completely and hopelessly invalid.

C) The facts remain, in a day-to-day usage scenario, anyone playing on the console the content was originally paid for and downloaded on can play it. Additionally, the user who paid for it, can log into ANY OTHER xbox360, download the content they have already paid for without having to pay again, and play it on there as well but ONLY when logged into live under that profile. Without going through the DRM transfer rubbish or having to do anything else.

D) I never said ANYWHERE the content was NOT transferrable for if you needed to replace your xbox. Neither was that anything to do with the original question, or have anything to do with anything being discussed in this thread.

Thank you, and goodnight.

I Didnt say you were wrong. Yes what you said does work but it isnt completely true. You gave misguided information out... Saying "you can only do this and you can only do that"

I gave a link and explanation on how this isnt entirely true. Giving out more information.

I wasnt trying to be smart i was trying to be helpful. So stop being a jerk now.

Yes, in the context the question was in, what I said is 100% completely true. It was a question about the day to day usage restrictions of the content, and that is the information I provided. Your information about the ability to transfer the licenses once every year designed for when you swap xboxes, is NOTHING to do with the day to day use of the content, has absolutely no relevance, and is no use at all.

YES IT IS 100% COMPLETELY TRUE. This is something COMPLETELY different to the DRM transfer service and has nothing to do with it. Go and try it yourself. Go pay for and download something on one console, then log your profile into another console and download it again. It won't cost you a penny - but you'll only be able to play it while logged into live on that profile on the other console.

Stop being a jerk? You're the one who came in here with completely nonvalid points, trying to win e-points. When infact you've just tripped up and made yourself look stupid.

had to use the drm transfer tool few weeks back, to put the licenses on my shiney new xbox :D took literally two minutes

Non-valid points? What "day to day" usage is running through your mind exactly? No one asked the question about "day to day" usage.

My points were completely accurate in every context. What you said was a half truth with misguided information. Not everyone is gonna want to play your little "scenario",

Im not argueing the fact you can download your old content onto a new console. You said "you can only play this content while logged into xbox live". What about those with RROD or new consoles? dont you think my information would have been the more useful one.

Anyway, i wasnt trying to detract from your post i was merely adding more information.

There. Thats the question, regarding how he was allowed to use his xbox live content on a day to day basis. He didn't ask about transferring to another xbox, or anything like that. 1-0

My points were completely accurate in every context.
I never said they werent. I just said they're invalid because they had nothing to do with the discussion. 2-0

What you said was a half truth with misguided information. Not everyone is gonna want to play your little "scenario",
No, it isn't a half truth. It describes 100% truthfully the way you are allowed to use xbox live content on a day to day basis. If you can see anything that isn't true, or is misguided in any way, point it out. Oh wait, you can't. 3-0

You said "you can only play this content while logged into xbox live". What about those with RROD or new consoles? dont you think my information would have been the more useful one.
He didn't ask about RROD. He didn't ask about getting a new console. He asked how he was allowed to use the content on a day to day basis hence no, your information is NOT more useful. Had he asked about if he could move his licenses to a new console, I would have given him the DRM transfer info, but he didnt. 4-0

Anyway, i wasnt trying to detract from your post
This isnt entirely true,
(insert other quotes saying the info I provided is 'half truths', 'misguided' etc)
Well, these are OBVIOUS attempts to detract from my post. Everything I have said IS completely true and answered in the context of the original question. As above, feel free to point out anything which isn't true rather than just saying what I've posted is 'misguided and half truths' without actually any basis for why. 5-0

My points were completely accurate in every context. What you said was a half truth with misguided information. Not everyone is gonna want to play your little "scenario",
Well, it a day to day context, they are - because the DRM transfer tool only works once every 12 months. If I go round to my mates house, and we want a blast on bomberman which I've already downloaded and paid for, I can just take my profile with me, log it into my mates console and we can play bomberman. Try doing that with YOUR 'little scenario'. There are plenty of other uses, as well.

6-0, I win. Close the door on the way out, cheers.

Why are you trying to make it like a scoreboard, your acting like a kid and like the guy said before your embarrassing yourself by behaving this way. Ive come to the conclusion your ignorant in general. Using word like e-penor & mong spit are not cool and you probably realised how much of an idiot you looked by editing that post.

My first post wasnt even an arguement to begin with it was merely adding more information if people found it more useful and no one asked about downloading them onto another xbox until you brought it up. So your parade about context is completely false so you might aswell give it up. Saying things like "you can only do this" is misguiding when infact there are other options for multiple scenarios. If someone read your post and had a new console your information would have been misguiding.

For future reference if your going to answer someones question then use quotations so that your conversation stays in context and not just general xbox discussion.

Also learn to take advice. Lashing out does nothing for you.

You're kind of boring me now - you've made no new points, but instead filled that post with complete crap and pointlessness that requires me to say nothing other than, 'Refer back to previous post' - 6-0 and you lose.
