great phone and added bonus of dual sim, want one of these for work
#2
How does the dual sim work?

Suspect this to could lead to a good price drop on the 630/635 and 530 models here. Wonder what the UK RRP will be?
#3
Can't say about how to operate dua sim but if it's like other phones it's very easy usually a button press or settings change on the phone. Great for work, travelling abroad or for having an emergency sim loaded with a few quid in case you run out. UK: no release date yet but i'd expect about £100-120. However it's highly unlikely the dual-sim version will be released in the UK.

Huawei have recently just pulled out of Windows Phone, giving them a right old slating in the process.

thx I had a 10 euro of 50 spend for amazon.fr got this for £80 :)

I recently moved from long term ios to WP, and love it! Have a 930 but wanting a cheaper phone to use when out mountain biking or for a drunken night out - ie wont be too upset if it gets broken.

This looks pretty sweet compared to the 530/635 due to better camera lenses with flash. Shame it's not smaller.

Roughly the same size as the 930 but lighter.
I had a 920 before i lost it. Very good phone. This seems like a cheap replacement and also has a removable battery.

Bought. Vive La France. As they say in the dordogne. And €16 cheaper than Amazon Germany. By all accounts.

They have left because they barely sold any of their 2 WP models. The problem was that they were overpriced compared to the Lumia phones, and had no extras included. Huawei also didn't bother to market the phones.

Why would anybody buy a Huawei windows phone which is both worse and more expensive than a competing Lumia.

This is a Microsoft phone, not a Huawei.

For sub-£100, you can't be that fussy.

735 has faster GPU and better (if slightly smaller) screen. Also 4G.

Good price.

nice find op, heat added :)

Does this have the same bad screen as the 530? Just heard from several reviews that the 530 had a pretty dreadful screen (worse than its predecessor the 520)

No, the 530 is a junk phone with 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, and the worst screen ever on a Lumia, a 4" TN, no flash, and no front camera.

This is a 1GB phone with a 5" IPS LCD, 5 megapixel front camera, 8GB storage, and LED flash.

The 530 should be called the 430, since it is a lot worse than the preceding 425 - this phone is just hugely better.

€2 = 2 Euro, no S.

Real shame this isn't 4G. With the dual SIM it is otherwise the perfect low cost business phone.
banned#21
Will they ever bring out a 4G dual sim phone ? Why aren't dual sim phones readily available in the UK.
#22
If this wasn't so big I'd be all over it...

It is a shame they dont have a smaller version, not everyone wants a big phone though they're all heading in that direction.

If you check the other colours, it says they will be receiving stock on 10 December, which might be a little tight if you want it for Christmas.

Still, this is red hot. The phone is an absolute steal for what you get, and I doubt it will be any cheaper when it finally hits the UK.

A bit of a shame you can't claim the €20 prepaid Visa offer in the UK!

Voted hot but... gonna stick my neck out here and say that in my opinion the Windows app store is seriously pants. And I DO have a Lumia and it's a great phone. So if one consideration of this phone for anyone is the apps available, best look on the store first. Iirc, there isn't even an official Windows HUKD app?

Thanks - I stand corrected, but in my defense, I did actually search the Windows store for it and it didn't appear in the results. Only the paid and unofficial versions turned up, which surprised me immensely. But thanks.

Windows phone store is pretty bad for searching. Is a shame as there are apps out there that are easily missed. The front page of HUKD actually shows an ad for their app with windows phone shown.

Not a lot i miss app wise on my 930 so far. The main problem is that the apps aren't as polished as ios/and and aren't updated as frequently. I think with these cheaper low to mid range phones, Windows will soon start to get a little more market share. From what i've read it's a lot easier to develop for WP, and they take less of the profits from sales.

I agree. For me there's no contest between the Windows and Android phones; the Windows phones easily beat them for me. But I was surprised at how little choice there is on the Windows app store. Can't even find a decent music player like jetAudio. Other than that, great phones IMO.

Agreed, the app store search is rubbish. It seems to defy logic. Even if you only use one key word, you invariably get a slew of unrelated results - excluding the word you used for searching wtf? I read about a port of Five Nights at Freddy's. Searching "five" or "nights" or "freddy" doesn't find the two new games. What are we supposed to put? It turns out that they are poorly coded ports not worth bothering with, but I'm constantly getting failed searches for new apps I read about.

I recommend myAppFree for discovery of new and existing WP apps, for free!
