These are actually a really great phone. Obviously not for the 'app monsters', but as a phone, and productivity device, I still deeply miss my 950...
Brilliant cameras, good battery life. They 'just work'. So much less hassle than an android phone...
Hint, replace the back cover with a Mozo from Amazon, make the phone look soooo much better.

Like wise, its a great phone for wise people

is it a wise choice to buy now? The Microsoft's Nokia division has been sold, are we going to future support? Are we going to get software updates?

Microsoft does say that Windows Mobile will be on. They have already written off huge money, I dont see any future until and unless they act like Samsung to flood the market with various mobile models and flood with lot of advertising

you can also get an extra 15% off at MS store if you're a student, making it £224.10

These are no longer being produced. Microsoft have admitted that there are no replacements units available in the UK for warranty claims, so this is just old stock they are dumping on the market.

If the BT SmartTalk app was available on this OS I'd probably buy one. fact is that there are so many firms that do not make apps for this system that I could not use it if it were free unless I carried another phone too

My work phone is Windows and it is awful. It is a cheap one but it is rubbish.

I used an android phone once. I was rubbish.

Just as valid.

This is fair enough.

The 15% off offer for students or the display dock offer is a better deal at the Microsoft store. Plus you can get cashback for like £30.
