I got a copy of Office 2007 when I worked there.
Most organisations have some sort of Home Use Program as part of their software licence agreement.

office 2007 is too damn hard to use, especially when you have been using office 95/97 then office xp and then office 2003.

give it a go if you have only basic needs and a decent computer, you might be surprised how good it's got.
of course this is a good price if you have to have MS office (and work in the NHS!)

Open Office does it all for free.
Also I hate to think what a version of Office for the NHS would be like.
It probably comes preprogrammed to lose records.

I'll correct that for you, open office does what you want it to do for free.
Personally, I don't like it and would happily pay £9 for Microsoft Office. Although it says its compatible, OpenOffice always messes up the formatting on my microsoft documents. Plus, I find Microsoft Office a lot more user friendly with more formatting/design options (plus the familiarity of the suite).
