Get openoffice from openoffice.org - compatible with micro$oft office - and it is free!

You should get freee 2010 upgrade too with this... if you are lucky and they state the start date for the offer as March. Keep the receipt!

If you dont need Outlook then you can buy Microsoft Ofice Home and Student for about £50 and it comes with Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Lets face it most home users dont need Outlook.

And it can be put on 3 PCs/Laptops as well.

Sounsa like a good deal to me.

Note the description on the site :
'Microsoft Office Standard 2007 - Complete package - 1 PC - EDU - CD - Win - English'

It would appear this is the education version, which can be had from software4students for £39.

+1 - Agree this is a good deal, as purchasing Outlook separately isn't cheap (if your going for the Home User version of Office 2007).

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

But if your not a student or don't have kids in school/college/university then this is a decent alternative to consider, especially with regards to Outlook.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

You can get the Home & Student version much cheaper but not a l lot of good if you need Outlook like me so this is by far the best deal i can find without having to have a student ID or similar!

Cant see anything about Outlook or similar on the website, useless if you need Outlook integration!!!

Thats precisley why openoffice is the better deal.

Granted if you need Outlook then Openoffice is not the answer - by itself - but use the Goggle (free) offerings (the calander is brillant with free sms alerts) and I think you do have a better deal.
