Just pirate it. It would be no different, as there is no way this is legitimate.

By no means am I advocating piracy, but buying this you may as well pirate it.

Clearly just a hacked Ebay account selling fake keys

Clearly just a hacked Ebay account selling fake keys

They really are not hacked accounts at all, there are plenty of highly rated sellers on ebay (1000+ feedback) selling around the same price, this just happens to be cheapest.

I purchased one, signed in & registered legitimately through Microsoft's website and activated the software just fine. I even have Microsoft support with the product key.

Is it legit though? Also I'm assuming it's a one off fee as I've got 365 and could do with cancelling

Decide yourself if it's legit. Like most alt.facts people believe what they want to believe:

OEM keys. There was a posting earlier today with a similar Ebay seller and full explanation of why so cheap.

Do you really believe these keys are genuine? I guess most of you know they're not, just kidding yourselves. I can assure you that any keys that are emailed to you are not legit, they are created using key generators so every once in a while a genuine key gets created and lasts, the vast majority are trapped by the servers after several months as they fail the authenticity test. They also use volume licenses intended for software developers where each license is good for up to 100 installations. Many eBay software sellers for example are actually based in China, USA, Russia and Italy. They buy dormant eBay accounts and use them to peddle their counterfeit software. eBay turn a blind eye because all they care about is taking 5 to 10% of the sale.

Genuine OEM keys come with a genuine paper license in the form of a physical certificate of authenticity on which the key is displayed and contained within a white cardboard OEM sleeve with a red seal. The packs are printed with a batch number and the words MADE IN GERMANY or Made In Turkey.

You have no idea where the money is going. Most of the eBay sellers are part of criminal networks and your money is funding their wider criminal activities including drugs, terrorism etc. Is that what you want to waste your money on?

So let me ask you, why does the product key register with Microsoft perfectly fine? Why does internet activation work perfectly fine with software downloaded directly from Microsoft? They are not generated using a keygen at all otherwise you would have to install a crack and activate the software offline to bypass the Microsoft server.

These prices are less than OEM prices especially when taking into account ebay fees.

Added to that look at the feedback history of the account selling nothing like this in the past then suddenly seling microsoft keys with

If you require the COA sticker you must contact before purchase, the item could take up to 60 working days to get to you and the cost is an extra £15 on top of the asking price for this product key. However, if you don't require the sticker, we still send you a perfect working code.

Doing this alone makes it suspicious, as coincidentally 60 days by which time the account will be banned and nothing will ever turn up.

Mostly the keys activate fine. The activation server looks for a particular string of data, providing the correct data string is used the activation goes through. Then a few months later you perform a windows update and the Microsoft servers check the key in more detail. If the key has been used multiple times in excess of the volume license limit it blocks the update. The server also catches keys that have been created using key generators. It takes months to trap most of them by which time the eBay and Paypal buyer protection has expired. Some will slip through.

There is such a scam but I have only seen it used with store gift cards on eBay. There was a Polish seller in Bristol who travelled all round the South West buying gift cards with stolen credit cards, from stores like Next, M&S, Costa Coffee and many others giving 10 to 15% off face value. Took months before eBay removed the account. They then popped up again with another one. The software keys are from a keygen and cost them nothing so they don't need a stolen credit card.

I have a feeling that Pro Plus is only available via Volume License Keys.

Not sure why HUKD allows these "deals" to be posted.

I dabble in buying and selling of virtual goods and let me tell you if the price is too good to be true, it normally is.

Usually these cheap codes are purchased from genuine places or larger more reputable key sites using stolen credit cards and then sold dirt cheap to liquidated the dodgy cards funds.

Often times you have to take eBay feedback with a pinch of salt, don't assume 1000+ feedback means you're safe. These eBay accounts are traded and cultivated for that very reason alone. People grow these accounts for 3-5 years and then once they can do so safely they will hit high volume sales to "cash out" over the space of a couple of months. It usually takes a few months for these dodgy codes to get sussed out depending on where they were purchased from.

I've had it happen to me, purchased a lot of digital keys for a newly released game from someone and a few months later all of the keys got revoked. The price was 20% of the RRP..

Don't be fooled by the "the codes are cheaper in russia!" nonsense. If something is selling at 5% of the RRP there is a reason for that, and it's not the original country of purchase.

Ultimately it comes down to where the codes were purchased from and how they deal with fraudulent purchases. You may be good for a month, you may be good for a year or you may be lucky and the key is never revoked.

Scrap PC Case is crushed and you're welcome to collect the item. - this is totally understandable, I work for a large corporation that regularly buys PC's, puts the latest version of Office on to them then within a very short period of time decide to scrap the PC's along with the software on them. It's much less hassle to scrap new, expensive software and buy again. We also buy Windows 10 Pro install discs (with licences) to use as drinks coasters.

If you REALLY believe that a £400 piece of software that is being sold for £6.60 is legit, legal or a bargain, then I hope you get calls from 'Windows Support' and 'Microsoft Authorised Support', believe them too, they really will fix your PC for free.

I am part of the Microsoft Partner Network and work as a technical consultant for some major blue chip companies, and believe me, they don't buy any OEM Office 2016 licences, ever. Every large company usually has a Volume Licencing Agreement and directly deploys Office 365 Enterprise, the version depends upon individual requirements, but generally E1 for Exchange based access only, E3 for the majority or E5 if they have a specific Microsoft Bi requirement. Smaller sites generally opt for Business Premium if they need corporate email, or plain Business if they don't need the Exchange functionally.

The only places who consider buying OEM are SOHO and SME, and neither of these will be dumping Office 2016 unless they have been liquidated.

plus * Using Automated Phone System Can Sometimes Be Quicker

so its likely that the key has been activated previously hence the need to use the phone activation system for reactivation.

The sale of used OEM keys without the original hardware is prohibited regardless of how easy it is to remove stickers from the casing.

The reason they state you can collect the item is because OEM keys must be sold with hardware, the original hardware unless the OEM software package is still factory sealed and sold to system builders. The apparent presence of hardware prevents eBay from removing the listings or so they hope. Have you ever tried asking them for the collection address. If you do they'll refund you as there is no physical item.

You "buy" Windows 10 Pro discs for drinks coasters. Really, you must be nuts!

The moderators of this site do not care. I genuinely thought this was a professional website. Their apparent partnership with other sites and the fact they themselves are cited by others made me believe that good people were in charge here.
As much as people want to try and convince themselves that somehow these keys are genuine, they obviously aren't. You do not get Office 2016 (including Outlook) for anything less than £100 genuine.
Large OEM's do not get Office at £7.00 so why people kid themselves these might be genuine is beyond me. Be proud - if you don't like paying for your software and feel that piracy and illegal keys is the way forward, go for it - don't try and convince yourself these are OK.
As for the moderators and owners of this site - Really, you allow links to pirate software??
