Microsoft Office 2013 has just been added to the Home Use Program, which enables employees of certain companies very cheap access to Office software for home use. With the appropriate business email address and a code from your employer, who must enable HUP through Software Assurance, you can purchase a copy of Office 2013 Professional Plus for as little as £8.95. You are also able to download Office 2011 for Mac if you aren't a Windows user.

The Home Use Program; Professional Plus comes with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Publisher, InfoPath and Lync.

Guessing that it won't be a legal copy as you'll be breaking the terms & conditions of the Home Use Program. You need to be an employee of the participating company. Otherwise it's no better than downloading a pirate copy for nothing!
#2
if this is not illegal it has to be the deal of a lifetime
#3
Hmm, it says "Company Code". Even though you have provided one, won't it be non-legit as we're not with a company?
#4
this will get removed by mods as it says this

Why do you need my work email address?

The terms of this program require that you have a valid email address with a participating company.

AND

You need a program code from your employer to be eligible
#5
Obviously only use it if you're employed by the eligible employer then..
#6
I get this deal as I work for ford motor company...whether its traceable who knows!
#7
wow £8.95 Deal!

Scam methinks - what do you think?
#9
Domain appears to be owned by MS.

No this is genuine. I bought office 2010 under this arrangement.

No I bought this yesterday - not that impressed with the new look and Outlook 2013 is missing some features like it only shows you today's appointments in the To-Do bar on the right.

Genuine but limited, I may as well post a deal about my office providing free tea and coffee to staff and at Christmas we get to sit on Santa's knee.

You lucky sod... I heard he's too busy at Christmas to visit my workplace! :p

Is this for a single installation only? Have one pc and one laptop in the house, and was wondering if I would need to purchase the software twice. Thanks
#19
@heroesfan your boss is lying Santa's always got time for good boys and girls.

I don't think this particular offer is for students like the title seems to suggest but I may be wrong of course.
#21
for a student...what do they need ?
would a university email be good enough ?
#22
You will probably find that any medium to large company that uses Microsoft office on there network will have the necessary licence for it employees to obtain this using the HUP. So probably a lot of people are entitled but never know and might just pay £80 plus to pc world when they get a new machine.
#23
Didn't realise this was out on HUP. Cheers OP :)
#25
it is for the home user program, your company gives you a code and you download it from ms. without the code you cant get it and its not for students.
#26
link doesn't take me to deal?

No I think it is for 3 installs though if you install on more you just go through telephone activation for each additional install...

Can someone talk me through how to find this deal please? I'm just not finding it.
#30
I can't find office 2013 at all on the site ?
#31
Some companies who are eligible may not even offer it so limited scope. Also license is only officially valid whilst you work for that company. But still good deal
#32

can register but then doesn't add into the basket

Just tried about a dozen of email addresses to request code.
Tried 5 different .ac.uk > didn't work.
Then I tried my work email > works wonderfully.
Although I have to wait until next week because I can only access my work email internally.

By the way, I've been using Office 2013 Preview for a while now. So far so good :)

Thanks OP :)

In regards to people saying it is not out, it was RTMed last year.

can n e one tell me please if its for student and if it is what do I need to do
#38
Just registered (my employer subscribes to the HUP scheme), paid and downloaded - only took a few minutes and was totally painless. Thanks to the OP.

Only problem so far is that Outlook 2013 crashed when I first tried to run it. I'll try rebooting later and see if that fixes things.

The Home Use Program is NOT designed for students.
This is mainly for employees from companies who has a relationship with Microsoft.
If you (students) happen to share the same .ac.uk with the staff and your institution has signed up for this then you might get it.

For students, Microsoft probably wants you to get this when it is available. Office 365 University for Higher-Education Students

Thanks for the info OP. Entered my work email address and received an email so I purchased one. No one in the office knew we had HUP scheme.:p
