Yeh, bit mental the cold landslide has begun from people who don't read the comments.

This is, and always has been a good deal if your employer participates.
#15

Aside from the fact that I've said your company has to be part for the home user program?

Yes I know it's in the description, I specifically mentioned the deal title.

Yeah but that was the last one where you could install on multiple devices
#23
heat... great for those that can take advantage..

I voted cold and guess you can call me a muppet if you choose. However, Microsoft are very clearly focusing on office 365 on a subscription licence basis with its cloud services. More and more companies as they renew will leave this scheme (I consider the company I work for to be to be behind and they did this over 1 year ago) leaving you at that point with zero support, be unable to reinstall and are no longer a licenced user beside that they at not adding all the features they are to office 365.

Yes, for 2013 version I believe you could install on 3 devices and now only one is allowed. Hot nonetheless.

With the 2013 version:

1. Is there a MS source that can be referenced to confirm that it allowed 3 User licence?
2. Is there an easy way to determine which machine has which license?
3. How can you transfer a licence from one machine to another?

just pointing out the reasons for the cold votes. you're the one who made a sweeping statement while doing exactly the same thing you complained about.

Probably because a lot of people are not eligible for it, or that they are not allowed to keep it if you leave your employment.

note this doesn't buy you a licence, just a copy of the media. The licence only exists whilst the company you work for us part of the home user program (for those worried), so if you leave or they end the program your meant to uninstall it!

Sorry as whilst you are correct in the terms of the licence it states you promise to uninstall if you leave the company or the company no longer participates in this program (something they have incentives not to with Microsoft planned direction) it is clearly a licence and a link to where to download the software from.

Microsoft

Eligible employees are allowed to purchase a single license of each product available according to the terms of their organization’s Software Assurance benefit.

Same issue here. Never needed that previously as the email address was sufficient.
#35
Do I have to use my work email address when registering the product or can I register it with my current Microsoft account email?

Nonsense.

Vast majority of people I know use both - typically Windows PCs and iOS phones and tablets, and less often Android.

Fanboys are sadly in all camps.

Did you miss the bit where it read "for PC and Mac"?

I think you did.
