I have the saitek eclipse at the moment, but its the one with grey keys and the blue backlight just doesn't show through enough. Hoping this will be better!

I'm replacing a (fairly new) logitech wave with this, so I too hope its good. If not I'll do as a keyboard for the backup PC for this price!

I've seen some bad reviews about this keyboard. It's said the painting on keys fades out in months if you are a gamer. I dont own one myself tho.

That's common behaviour with a lot of keyboards, even logitech's expensive G11/15/19 range only uses painted key labels that rub off in no time (the original version even had painted keys!). I'd imagine it's a cost saving measure to keep the price down after implementing all the stylistic stuff like the non-standard extra buttons and backlight.

Pick up a bog standard keyboard at this price like a Cherry Cymotion Expert or G83 and you'll get a more solid keyboard with labels that don't rub off that's just as good for gaming, although of course it won't have the over the top style of the typical 'gaming' keyboard which is what some people are looking for.

It does seem like a good deal for this style of keyboard.

I've had this keyboard for upwards of 6 months now and I cannot fault it. It's been a joy to use and looks great in the dark too especially in the early hours through bleary eyes after a six-hour gaming session.

Gotta say I love mine!

At this price, snap it up as I may get myself another one as a back-up!

I've had one for at least a year, it's had a hard life but no sign of any key wear and the keyboard is pretty much as new. I might get another, if only I had a use for a second keyboard..

The G110 and G19 keyboards are laser etched. Not sure about the G11 or G15 though.

This keyboard looks pretty good for the price
(The only thing I don't particularly like is the backlight bleed, I prefer just the letter lit like my G110)

FWIW the keys on this dont have the letters "painted" on. The letters are a semi-transparent plastic, so the light shines through (a little). Theres no chance of them wearing off as far as I can see.

Its quite a nice keyboard, rather large, and the media buttons on the left keep getting hit as I go for the CTRL keys. Not a biggie, just taking some time. Its quiet, and the main keys are nice and responsive.

Nice - been looking for a replacement keyboard for a while, but didn't want to pay the £40+ this usually sells for. Just placed my order :)

Looks ok to me :

http://eu.razerzone.com/powered-by-razer/microsoft-reclusa/

Those jog dials look interesting. Wonder if they can control volume. I have a Logitech Internet Navigator k/b and there's a vertical wheel on the left of the k/b using the Logitech s/ware I can use it to control volume, and it gives me an on screen display of volume. I'm left handed so the wheel is perfect for me on left hand side. However there's no support for Vista/Windows 7 so I can't use this feature in Windows 7 as the control software doesn't work in Windows 7.

Hmm just saw one review and one of the cons of this k/b is "Flimsy knobs". No self respecting gamer would want to suffer that affliction. I'm a part time gamer as in I don't game that much and I've been looking for a new k/b, I think at this price it's worth a punt.

By default in Windows 7 (not tried on any other OS sorry) the right knob controls volume, but it is programmable.

Are the knobs flimsy? Well, they are "rattley" i'd say - they dont feel like they're going to break (so I'd say not flimsy), but not as solidly built as the main 'board.

A Pound deader, but DVD.co.uk have them too - http://www.dvd.co.uk/Hw/Microsoft-Reclusa-Ulitimate-Gaming-Keyboard-UK-USB-Black/EL-00007430/product.htm - if you cant wait the extra 3-4 days Play are saying (is that because their OOS or because of Easter I wonder?)

Bought earlier today, found the latest drivers (v1.05) download here.

http://www.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=16&pcid=0&nav=0

It's a bit strange the drivers are not downloadable from their EU site?

Cheers just bought one on the recommendations above, said 4-5 days delivery, then out of stock on the order confirmation page. Still took the order though so I assume they can source them.

Mega hot deal. Paid £30 for this two months ago.

Good quality keyboard. The leather padding on the wrist wrest is really nice. The backlight blue was strong and annoying at first, but now I'm completely used to it, and it looks great.

The only minor flaw is that it has two rows of media buttons on either side of the main keyboard keys. So you have three media buttons placed near to the Enter key on the numpad (far right) and another line of buttons near the CTRL/Shift key on the bottom left of the keyboard. As a result, it's easy to press the media keys instead of the desired enter/ctrl/shift key (depending on style of keyboard usage of course). The flaw would have been pretty bad because one key closest to numpad's Enter ejects the DVD drive and the other closest to 'left Shift' opens Windows Media Player (so in game for example when wanted to press ctrl/shift, you end up pressing open Media Player), however these buttons are fully programmable and can be disabled, and furthermore after using the keyboard for a while, you get a better sense of avoiding accidentally pressing these media keys.

Thanks OP, got one to go with the £7 MS wireless mouse which came yesterday. Bargain for both!

One thing, anyone know if the backlight can be turned off?

It cant, unless anyone knows a hack. The software included doesnt include anything to do it, nor are there any buttons on the device to do it.
