I want gps in my mouse!!!

Those two buttons on the side are exactly where I keep my thumb, pointless! Am I supposed to have them depressed all the time?
#4
lol, no. Just don't press them. How hard do you grip a mouse?

If you look closely you will see that the tops of the buttons are flush with the side of the mouse, so you can still keep your thumb there without worrying about pressing the buttons.

more pointless gadgets... i love it!

" First-Ever LCD Display on a Mouse: DPI settings "
That's about as useful as a condom machine in a convent toilet :whistling:

i have had this mouse for a while now, and it beats anything else I've tried. It's about the same as Logitech G500 but with a FRACTION of the drivers needed. The logitech needed BOTH 32bit and 64bit drivers loaded at the same time bringing it upto about 45meg, but the drivers for this are about 1.2meg. Not a big deal but just imagine if everybody had the philosophy logitech had, 4gig would be gone in an instance :)

i have this mouse and im still not sure if i like it, its works with window 7 but not all functions do like changing the dps on the fly, its very smooth and light wieght to use , would be better if you could add wieght to it but for the price its a bargain as it does every thing and more just needs time to get use to it

From the look of the buttons I'm guessing it's right handed use only.....and I guarantee there isn't a left handed version.....Grrrrrr :x

I have this mouse and I believe it to be the best mouse in the world (probably)
Comes with a set of weights which allow you to add to the overall weight and feel of the mouse, has 3 different sets of feet allowing you to choose the best for your mouse surface, all these accessories come complete in box which you thread the mouse cable through, this allows the cable to stay the length you want it to be and where you want it to be, not falling behind the desk and restricting the mouse.
I'm using windows 7 64 bit and the "on the fly" changing of the DPI works flawlessly, I have changed one from 1000 down to 800 and the other down from 2000 to 1500, I use the 800 for everyday use and switch to 1500 when playing a FPS.
The scroll wheel and two thumb buttons are made from aluminum and work very well, thumb buttons are not in the way at all, would have liked the scroll wheel to have had more of gnarled surface to allow better grip.

gd mouse i have this one and wireless model which is 4000dpi blue track no lag an cost £47 great for sniping
the macro bottons come in andy

btw the wireless model is 7 bottons with a better scroll wheel tilt left 2 right and smother bottons i havnt used 4000 dpi in a game yet but its way to fast on my desktop

great dpi etc, what most will have issues with is the location of the side buttons, i have massive hands but my thumbs dont reach the side buttons, other than that, top mouse

Wow an LCD display, this mouse is so cynical I expect it to display "YOU SUCK!" on the display every now and then. Ok deal if you need the features regardless of the LCD :)

Good price, but I'll stick to the old Razer Copperhead thanks.

Is this a refresh of the Sidewinder x8?

Seems similar to mine, but obvious differences..
#22
i can understand lcd on a keyboard but no point on a mouse

I got this mouse free with my Sidewinder X6 keyboard today and have tried it for 3 hours now. I've been using it for general windows duties and some gaming. Ultimately, it's alright. On first use, it's a pig and I hated it. But after finding a nicer way to grip and move the mouse around, things got easier. But it's still bulky in comparison to a lot of mice I've used in the past. Those being, Microsoft Habu, Logitech MX518. Sharkoon Fireglider (my current mouse), Logitech MX1000 and some others.

The included weights are nice and I found a good balance. The feet are an interesting option, but not sure how different they are. The dpi switching is useful with the buttons on top, but, definitely needs personal settings in the Microsoft Intelli software to be set. The standard 2000 on the top switch is a bit much for moi. The LCD screen IS useless! lol I must say, the one thing I really like is having the side buttons set vertically. I never understood the horizontal method where you have to stretch your thumb to the front button. That way always feels wrong. And btw, my thumb sits behind the buttons. Nowhere near as uncomfortable to move forward as the horizontal method I mentioned!

So, all in all, a decent gaming mouse. But worth £27.99?? I don't think so. £20 and it would be a nice replacement for a non-gaming mouse. Personally, I think I'll be going back to my Fireglider.
